Joey De Leon and Vic Sotto’s attack on Willie Revillame in connection with the Cory Aquino live streaming trouble brought back the old case about the alleged rape of softdrink bodies Pepsi Paloma involving them and Richie D Horsey. It made the tab headlines in the ‘80s but was never proven. They were charged in court but it was eventually dropped allegedly due to Pepsi’s weak defense in an out-of-court settlement. Pepsi eventually committed suicide.

WikiPilipinas reports:

“Pepsi Paloma was only 14 when she entered the movie industry. She is the eldest daughter of Lydia Duenas, a native of Borac, Northern Samar, and an American letter carrier, Kenneth Smith, who deserted his family when the children is still young. A talent scout named Tita Ester brought her to Rey dela Cruz in 1980 for possible movie role. In 1981, she made her debut in the movie Brown Emmanuelle. She was also known as one of the members of the so-called “soft drink” beauties together with Coca Nicolas and Sarsi Emmanuel. Her success did not last for so long for in May 31,1985, she was found in her apartment hanged. According to the investigation, the rape case in 1982, involving actor/TV hosts Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon and comedian Richie D’Horsey, was one factor of her suicide. Another reasons which were found in her diary were monetary problems, longings for a mother’s love and anxieties over her relationship with her live-in boyfriend.”

But the rape case did show Richie’s close relationship with Joey and Vic. When he entered the slammer due a drug case offense, Ritchie was supported by Joey and Vic. It was Vic who paid the money needed to take him out to shoot of the Iskul Bukol reunion movie. But this has no relation to the rape case.
