MANILA, Philippines - Award-winning television host Bianca Gonzalez is now the newest co-host of Boy Abunda on celebrity talk show "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon."
She replaced Kris Aquino, who left the TV program last week.
Wearing a white dress, Gonzalez was welcomed by Abunda on Monday night.
"Welcome, welcome Bianca, thank you Bianca," Abunda said.
"Good evening Tito Boy. Ay naku, beyond words ang happiness ko to be here right now. Thank you, thank you so much," Gonzalez said.
Last Friday, Aquino said goodbye to SNN, which she hosted for one and a half years with Abunda.
Aquino is set to embark on new challenges following the victory of her brother, President-elect Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, in last month’s elections.
"Tonight is the night. Sa tagal ng pagka-countdown ko umabot din tayo talaga sa final Friday," Aquino said.
Aquino said she was blessed to be given the opportunity to host the show.
"Magaan po sa loob ko na binibigay ko ang programa doon sa papalit sa akin… but I really do believe in her talent. I know that she will do an excellent job, and not only complement Boy Abunda, but also bring out the best in Boy," Aquino added.
