EXCLUSIVE: GMA7 "FINALLY ADMITTED" NA NATATALO SILA SA TV RATINGS AT FAILED PROGRAMS!

Sa isang conference na ginanap sa GMA Network Center ay nakausap ng press ang "Dynamic Duo" ng Kapuso Network na si Atty. Felipe Gozon at Mr. Gilberto Duavit.

Tinanong ng ilang showbiz insider na tila nawawala na raw ang pagiging trensetter sa telebisyon, kung dati ay napapanood ng marami ang Extra Challenge, Mulawin at Encantadia, tila ang Kapuso network ngayon ang sumusunod sa klase ng mga programa ng ABS-CBN. Idagdag pa ang pagkatalo ng ilang programa ng GMA-7 sa ratings.

"I hate to admit it, but you are correct," pag-amin niya. "And the thing is, we're trying to do something about that.

"E, siguro naging kampante," sagot ni Atty. Gozon. "I have been worrying about that, you know. Maybe that's why people say it's easier when you're running after somebody than [when] you're ahead. The tendency is to take it easy, just do the same things you have been doing before. But that is wrong.

"In this very dynamic industry, you have to be ahead of everybody, even the viewers. You have to get what they want to watch next week. Ang hirap nun, e. That's why I enjoy this job more than my law practice, honestly! Sa law practice kasi, sa tanda kong ito, wala nang bago, e. All you have to do is, you research the jurisprudence, e, di alam mo kung anong law ang ina-apply ng court. E, dito, lahat bago dahil nagpapalit. Talagang ang bilis!"

Aminado rin si Gozon na failure ang ilang mga programa nila katulad ng Panday Kids, SiS, at Diz Iz It.

Samantala, nagpaliwanag naman si Mr. Duavit tungkol sa pagpapalit ng AGB Ratings: from Household ay naging People Ratings.

"Ang basic distinction lang po nito, when we say Household Ratings, ang tinutukoy nito ay ang porsiyento ng households na nanonood. Pag sinabi nating People Ratings, it is the percentage of total people within the survey area that are watching. Kaya ho naging mas mahalaga na ang People Ratings ang maging basehan o pagbabasehan, it's simply because this is what the trade prefers when it makes advertising or buying decisions," aniya.
