MANILA, Philippines - Actor Gerald Anderson on Sunday afternoon fainted while doing musical variety show “ASAP XV” due to hyperventilation, his on-screen partner, Kim Chiu, said.
"Nahimatay [siya] kasi na hyperventilate siya kanina sa ASAP," Chiu told “The Buzz” on Sunday.
"Siyempre inalalayan namin siya. Kanina sa dressing room sinasabi namin kung hindi niya kaya huwag ng ituloy. Ang tigas na ng kamay niya at hindi ko na ma-open," she added.
The actress admitted that she got scared, especially after Anderson complained that he could not see.
"Wala siyang nakikita. Sabi niya din sa sarili niya, ‘Ano ba itong nangyayari sa sarili ko? First time na nangyari sa akin.’ So, kinabahan kami," Chiu said.
Chui said Anderson was checked by ABS-CBN's medical team before he was allowed to go home.
Chiu, who is romantically linked to Anderson, admitted that the actor is very special to her. "Siyempre nagsusuportahan kami sa isa't isa ngayon. At wala ako dito ngayon kung hindi dahil sa kanya."
When asked about the real status of her relationship with Anderson, Chiu burst into tears.
Chiu and Anderson have been rumored to have called it quits despite their repeated denials that they were an item.
Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo
Meanwhile, Chiu guested on "The Buzz" Sunday to promote the last week of Kapamilya hit series "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo,” which also features Anderson, Coco Martin and Kris Aquino.
"’Yong buong week na ‘yon parang mangyayari siya in one day. Lahat ng eksena aabangan ninyo. Kahit ako, nagbabasa ako ng final week namin, nadala ako at natakot ako," she said.

"Hindi naman kami magkakalayo. Magkakasama naman kami. Marami kaming shows. Isa na doon sa Fiesta Pinoy sa Florida," Chiu said.
