The Department of Education has canceled classes in the elementary and high school levels due to tropical storm Basyang (international name: Coson). In the college level, the following schools have so far declared suspending classes:

2) Dr. Carlos Lantin College in Novaliches
3) University of the Philippines in Quezon City
4) San Beda College in Mendiola
5) Ateneo de Manila University
6) Miriam College
7) Arellano University
8) STI
9) Far Eastern University
10) St. Scholastica's College Manila
11) Polytechnic University of the Philippines
12) Philippine Maritime Institute in Quezon City
13) Philippine Women's University
