TFC stars to grace Fiesta Mo sa Florida 2010 in Kissimmee on July 24

REDWOOD CITY, CA, July 9, 2010 – TFC Kapamilya Summer Saya sa America has now become the biggest Filipino event series in the U.S.

After the highly successful launch of TFC Kapamilya Summer Saya sa America at the 112th Commemoration of Philippine Independence in New York City with local partner organization PIDCI last June 6 – which drew 70,000 people - the TFC festivities now move to Fiesta Mo Sa Florida 2010 at Osceola Heritage Park Exhibition Building in Kissimmee on July 24.
TFC partners with Fil-Am Movement International, LLC, in bringing the Philippines’ top young love team, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, with the special participation of Erich Gonzales whose film, Cinema One Originals’ Paano Ko Sasabihin? (How Do I Tell You?) co-starring Enchong Dee, will have a special screening at the event.
The three fast-rising young stars shot to stardom via TFC teleseryes, with Kim and Gerald currently on the top-rated Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo (If We Were To Be Apart) and Erich on Magkaribal (Rivals), one of the hottest new primetime dramas that launched on TFC in June. Moviegoers in the U.S. have also seen Kim and Gerald in the recent hit, Paano Na Kaya? (How Then?), and Erich in the critically acclaimed, Noy, co-starring Coco Martin.
Fiesta Mo Sa Florida made its successful debut last year with TFC stars Bea Alonzo, Diether Ocampo and comedian Pooh. They also had a special screening of the Star Cinema blockbuster, And I Love You So. This year, the event moves to a bigger venue, the Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, which is just a few miles from world famous tourist destinations like Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld.
This year’s event highlights include a cultural and food festival, a battle of the bands, a group dance contest, a movie screening, trade exhibitors from the U.S. and the Philippines, raffle draws, Meet & Greet with the TFC stars, and a stage show hosted by comedians Poca and Bacci. This will be followed by the “TFC Celebrity Hour” showcasing Kim and Gerald, with Gelo of Barangay USA. “TFC Got Showtime”, wherein the partner organization will present three top local performers in a talent contest, will also be part of the “TFC Celebrity Hour”.
“TFC makes Fiesta Mo Sa Florida a one big Kapamilya (family) affair,” said Fil-Am Movement International President Fernando Solis. “The event gathers Filipinos from all over this state and even from different U.S. states and other countries to join in what is fast becoming one of the biggest annual summer events here in Florida. With TFC, Fiesta Mo Sa Florida will be a tradition that Filipinos will look forward to each year for bringing world-class entertainment and high-impact business opportunities for partners and exhibitors.”
“TFC’s community building efforts all over the U.S. continues with this Florida leg of TFC Kapamilya Summer Saya sa America,” said TFC Director for Cable & Satellite Jun Del Rosario. “We are committed to nurturing strong linkages with local Filipino American organizations and associations to promote Filipino culture, talent and local businesses. These events also generate excitement among our subscribers in the U.S. as we bring to them the stars they have come to love on TFC and watch them perform live in a fun family environment.”
After the Florida festivities, TFC Kapamilya Summer Saya sa America will also bring stars to the following events: Toni Gonzaga and Rayver Cruz at the 17th Pistahan Festival and Parade sa Yerba Buena, San Francisco on August 14 and 15; and Angelica Panganiban, Jake Cuenca, Bugoy Drilon and Laarni Lozada at the Philippine Fiesta Sa America in New Jersey on August 14 and 15.
Then all roads lead to the biggest and grandest annual Filipino celebration in the West Coast with One Kapamilya Go 2010 sa California’s Great America on September 12. Last year, One Kapamilya Go, which celebrated TFC’s 15th year, drew a record-setting capacity crowd of 10,000 which last happened in the historic theme park more than a decade ago.

General Admission to Fiesta Mo Sa Florida 2010 is $20 which includes the free movie screening of Paano Ko Sasabihin. For more information, visit www.florida-fiesta.com.
