Pokwang receives from her closest friends an odd belated birthday gift—a children’s party. And it’s a surprise at that. The theme of the birthday party was
inspired by one of Pokwang’s heartwarming true-to-life stories—that she’s never had a children’s party in her entire life. The party was attended by her
closest friends in and out of showbiz.
Of course, her one and only daughter Mae Subong was in the party. When asked about her birthday wish for her mother, she replied: “I hope that
everything will become fine to you. Sana magkaroon ka ng good health every day. Basta lagi ka lang safe. Thank you sa lahat. I love you Mom.”
Her mother Gloria Subong also wishes her well in her career and gives her a sensible piece of advice. “Happy birthday, anak. Sana magkaroon ka pa ng maraming project. Kalimutan mo yung mga nagpipilit na ibababa ka ng husto. Inggit lang sila dahil wala silang anak nang katulad ko.”
Pilipinas Win na Win co-hosts also graced the party with their presence. Kris Aquino, who brought sons Josh and Bimby with her, has more than one wish for the comedienne. “I really wish her na unang-una matapos ng mabilis at hindi magastos yung bahay na ipinapatayo nya. Second wish ko, yung movie na ginagawa nya ngayon na kasama si Erich at Enchong maging super big hit. Pangatlo, syempre maraming-marami pang TV shows. At pang-apat, sana dumating na yung tamang pag-ibig sa buhay mo.”
Pokwang is very overwhelmed by the love and support of her friends and was teary-eyed the whole time. And with all the blessings that she has now, Pokwang no longer wishes for material things, just for peace and love. “Birthday wish ko, sa lahat ng nagmamahal sa kin, sa lahat ng nandito ngayon, ibig sabihin n’yan ito yung mga taong totoong nagmamahal, thank you, thank you. And sana kapayapaan para sa ating lahat. At yun nga, matagpuan ko yung love ko.”
