Rico J. Puno ang New Special Host ng Wowowee!!!

Willie Revillame‘s friend, Rico J. Puno, graced Wowowee yesterday to be a special guest host.
Sa pagbubukas ng show, naghiyawan ang lahat ng sabihin nila Mariel Rodriguez na si John Lloyd Cruz ang makakasama nila. Laking gulat at naghalakhakan ang live studio audience nang ang lumabas sa backstage ay ang “Macho Gwapito” ng dekada ’70.
Nang tanungin si Rico J. kung anong klaseng Wowowee ang ihahatid niya sa televiewers, simple lang ang sinabi nito. “Ako’y 35 years na rin sa industriya at hindi ko pinaplano ang kahit anong gagawin ko. Galing lang sa puso lagi. Spontaneous! I play with the crowd of course with the guidance of the script.”
Sa kanyang kauna-unahang pagho-host sa Wowowee, binati ni Rico J. ang kaibigang Willie at nabanggit pang ang suot niyang T-shirt nang hapong iyon ay sa kaibigan. Nag-text din daw siya kay Willie para sabihing manood ng episode niya.
Lalong nagpiyesta sa studio nang naging galante si Rico J. sa pagbibigay papremyo sa contestants at maging sa live audience. Sa katunayan, pinagkatuwaan pang hanapin ni Rico J. ang taga-Makati na bumoto sa kanya. matatandaang tumakbo bilang vice-mayor ng Makati si Rico J ngunit hindi pinalad na nanalo. Kaya pabirong nagkomento ang singer na, “Ang dami niyo, bakit hindi ako nanalo?”
Samantala, sa mga gustong manood ng Wowowee sa studio nang live, patuloy pa rin ang “Wowowee Text Promo.” Para sumali, manood lamang ng Wowowee araw-araw at hintayin ang sagot sa ibibigay ng mga hosts. Tumutok sa commercial break at abangan ang tanong. Araw-araw, dalawang tanong ang lalabas kaya dalawang winners ang ia-announce sa dulo ng show. Mananalo ng tig-P5,000 cash at dalawang Wowowee tickets ang mga unang mabubunot na may tamang sagot. Kaya load at text na!

Sa Pilipinas Got Talent press conference ng Top 12 finalists kahapon sa Dolphy Theater ay sinabi ni Jovit Baldivino na wala silang problema nina Batangas Governor Vilma Santos.
Previous weeks ago sa Buzz Express ay napabalitaang ini-snub daw ni Jovit ang isa sa mga sorties ni Vilma Santos, kung saan siya ay inimbitang kumanta.
"Hindi po ako naniniwalang galit po ang mga Vilmanians sa akin dahil iisa lang po ang taong nagsasalita ng tungkol sa mga nangyayaring 'yon. Pero alam ko, susuportahan po ako ng Vilmanians," sabi ni Jovit tungkol sa balitang gumagawa raw ng kampanya ang mga Vilmanians na huwag siyang iboto sa finals.
"Kung may galit kayo sa akin, pasensiya na lang. Sana iboto niyo pa rin ako sa grand finals," kanyang patapos.

Obama sends Independence Day greetings to Filipinos

MANILA, Philippines – US President Barack Obama sent his greetings to Filipinos on the 112th commemoration of the Philippine Independence Day.
“On behalf of the American people, I send my best wishes to all those who celebrate the 112th Anniversary of Philippine Independence Day – here in America, in the Philippines, and around the world,” Obama said.
Obama said the US is home to many Americans who trace their roots to the Philippines and that “they are all an important part of the American identity.”
With common history and values, Obama believes that the two countries will remain to be partners in promoting peace and development.
“I am confident that our nations, sharing in our democratic principles, will continue our strong friendship and cooperation,” he said.
On Saturday, President Arroyo led the Independence Day activities in Manila which started with flag-raising rites at the Rizal Park, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the monument of national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.
Other Independence Day celebrations were also held in different parts of the country.

Almost one year na palang mag-dyowa sina Jericho at Cesca pero tahimik lang ang kanilang relasyon. Matagal din naman bago muling naging masaya at maligaya ang aktor sa bago niyang pag-ibig ngayon. “More than two years… I don’t wanna say anything… I just want my privacy. I just learned from the past relationships, I’m happy right now.”

Kahit tuluyan na ngang naghiwalay ng landas sina Jericho at Heart Evengelista, hindi pa rin nawawala sa puso’t isipan ng aktor na minsan naging bahagi siya nito. “We have good times. I believe she’s happy right now. Ayaw kong maging hadlang sa kaligayahan niya. We’re both happy and I don’t wanna mess with that. I consider her as a friend. I’ll always be a friend to her. Communication? Wala na.”
Hindi ba nag-effort si Jericho na muling balikan si Heart? “I don’t want to push things up. There was an effort naman, mayroon din sa kanya before, but wala, eh. Medyo mas malakas ‘yung sitwasyon at saka ‘yung ano…”
Nang maghiwalay ang dalawa, may ibinalik kaya si Echo na ibinigay sa kanya ni Heart? “Hindi ko ugali na nagbabalik ng gamit, walang ganu’n. As much as possible, you want to be faithful so, wala na ‘yun. “

Almost one year na palang mag-dyowa sina Jericho at Cesca pero tahimik lang ang kanilang relasyon. I just learned from the past relationships, I’m happy right now.”
