‘Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote’ is 2010 MMFF Topgrosser, Earns P159M in 2 Weeks!

As expected, “Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote” is the 2010 MMFF’s topgrosser.

According to National Cinemas Association of the Philippines (NCAP) President Ric Camaligan via an article by Philippine Entertainment Portal, the no. 1 movie of the 2010 MMFF based on box office returns for the whole duration of the festival is the fantasy action comedy film “Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote.”

The Vic Sotto-Bong Revilla collaboration raked-in a total of P159 million in two weeks since it premiered on Christmas Day. Finishing in a very close second place is the Star Cinema comedy “Ang Tanging Ina Mo Rin, Last Na ‘To.” The Ai Ai delas Alas starrer had a gross of P157 million throughout the duration of the festival.

Both films will still run on its third week starting today, January 8, but it’s no longer part of the Metro Manila Film Festival. Meaning, if ever “Ang Tanging Ina Mo Rin Last Na ‘To” surpass the final gross of “Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote”, the title of 2010 MMFF topgrosser still belongs to the Vic Sotto-Bong Revilla starrer.

In third place is the Kris Aquino horror movie “Dalaw” which grossed P96 million.
Mr. Camaligan did not reveal the box office gross of the remaining entries, however, he reported that the combined total gross of all eight MMFF entries is P530 million, P93 million higher that last year.
