EAT BULAGA! Renews it's vows with GMA Network, extends contract until 2014
Eat Bulaga!, the country's longest running and unbeatable noontime variety show renews its ties with GMA Network and signed a 3 year contract. GMA Network was the home of Eat Bulaga! for the past 15 years after rival station ABS-CBN attempted to buy it's rights but TAPE Inc. refused and then was removed from ABS-CBN's roster of shows. More than 15 shows had been rivaled against Eat Bulaga! but they failed because it is unbeatable!!
Present in the contract signing are the Eat Bulaga triumvirate Sen.Vicente Sotto III, Vic Sotto and Joey De Leon, and dabarkads Anjo Yllana, Jimmy Santos, Ruby Rodriguez, and Allan K . Also present are the TAPE Inc. bosses Malou Choa-Fagar and Tony Tuviera. GMA Network chairman and CEO Atty.Felipe L. Gozon and GMA Network President and COO Gilberto Duavit are also present.
The triumvirate said that it never crossed their mind transferring Eat Bulaga to other TV Network. Previous reports said that TAPE Inc. plans to transfer to GMA's rival TV5 together with Eat Bulaga. TAPE Inc.'s Malou Choa-Fagar immeidately insisted there are no plans of transferring and that they had an existing contract with the Kapuso Network.
TAPE Inc. big boss Tony Tuviera said that this is only a renewal of vows just like marriage.
GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon said that it is rare for a TV show to be extended in that period of time.
Eat Bulaga continue to be stronger than any other noontime show based on different ratings providers in the country.
Eat Bulaga! remains the country's No.1 noontime variety show!!
It also rules the entire daytime block of GMA Channel 7.
