The only remaining soap opera of ABC is the 'General Hospital' who survived by the cuts.
ABC released a statement saying:
"Guided by extensive research into what today’s daytime viewers want and the changing viewing patterns of the audience, ABC is evolving the face of daytime television with the launch of two new shows."
'The Chew' is a new food show that will be hosted by Mario Batali, will replace of "All My Children" when it ends this September 2011. Then in January 2012, a health/lifestyle transformation show, 'The Revolution' will replace of "One Life to Live" after it ends.
