MANILA, Philippines – Actress Alessandra "Alex" de Rossi is leaving her mother network, ABS-CBN, to transfer to GMA-7.
De Rossi, who is part of ABS-CBN's prime time series "Green Rose," is set to do a series with the rival network, talent manager Popoy Caritativo said via his official Twitter account.
Caritativo is also the manager of actor Dennis Trillo, the male lead star of de Rossi's upcoming series titled "Sentensyada."
"Yes, Alex De Rossi is back in GMA! Magkasama sila ni Dennis sa new soap. Kaibigan namin si Alex. Huli silang nagkasama sa Super Twins," Caritativo said.
In 2008, de Rossi moved back to ABS-CBN and became part of "I Love Betty La Fea". This was after she refused to be part of GMA-7's show "La Lola" because of her tiff with actress Rhian Ramos, one of the lead stars of the series.
De Rossi is an Italian-Filipino actress and the younger sister of actress Assunta De Rossi.
She made her mark in dramatic films including the critically-acclaimed "Mga Munting Tinig" and "Homecoming."
De Rossi recently flew to Cannes, France with director Auraeus Solito for the world premiere of the movie "Busong".
In the said film, she plays the lead role of Punay, described by Solito as "the metaphor of Palawan."
