Ai-Ai delas Alas magbabalik Primetime sa 'My Binondo Girl' with Kim Chiu!

Ai-Ai De Las Alas was very happy that she’s back in a primetime teleserye via the upcoming project My Binondo Girl. Her last primetime series was I Love Betty La Fea. Ai-Ai said, “Masaya ito kasi gusto ko talagang may teleserye. Gusto ko ‘yung araw-araw napapanood. Nakaka-miss din umarte.” The Comedy Concert Queen is also currently seen every weekend as judge in Pilipinas Got Talent.

She also joked about her role in My Binondo Girl which will be top-billed by the primetime princess Kim Chiu. “Hindi ko pa nagagawa ang role na ito. Nanay ako dito! Ha ha ha! Nanay ako ni Kim Chiu. Bagong-bago!”

Last year the two also played mother and daughter in the weekly mini-series Your Song presents Maling Akala. Ai-Ai shared that she and Kim got to be very close because of a common interest. “Close na kami niyan ni Baby Kimmy. Gusto namin pareho ang shopping. Kapag may nagbebenta sa akin, ire-refer ko kay Kim. Bibili naman siya.” Ai-Ai added that she is looking forward to the shoot of My Binondo Girl in Guangzhou, China where she and Kim may find time to go on a shopping spree.

Aside from shopping, another common denominator Ai-Ai and Kim have is that they are both currently love less. The veteran star pointed out her admiration for the teen idol’s diligence when it comes to work. “Isa siya sa pinakamasisipag na artista sa showbiz. Hilig niya ang work. ‘Yun lang ang ginagawa niya…at shopping. Pareho kaming puro work lang, loveless, at shopping. Ibigay niyo na sa amin ‘yung shopping, ha ha ha!”
