THE ROYAL WEDDING: Procession! (VIDEO)

THE ROYAL WEDDING: Procession! (VIDEO)

THE ROYAL WEDDING: Prince William & Kate's wedding CAKE!- YUMMY!

The first photos of Prince William and Duchess Kate's wedding cake have been released -- and it looks yummy!
William, 28, and Kate, 29, chose a traditional multitiered fruitcake with cream and white piping designed by prestigious British baker Fiona Cairns.

"We've used Catherine's list of the 'language of flowers," Cairns added. "The 'language of flowers' is something that was used in Victorian times to express, in a coded way, emotions that couldn't easily or openly be expressed in words but [could be] conveyed in flowers. So all the flowers have meanings."

For example, the bridal rose symbolizes happiness, ivy leaves marriage, and "Sweet William" flowers, which represent gallantry.

Like any engaged couple, William and Kate tested several different flavors.

Kim Chiu celebrated her Birthday in New York City with Gerald Anderson!

Kim Chiu celebrated her Birthday in New York City with Gerald Anderson!

Fresh from the Star Magic U.S. tour, Kim Chiu looked well-rested and happy as Push.com.ph and other ABS-CBN reporters welcomed her home at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport past midnight of April 26. The young actress shared that their trip had been very successful since they were able to meet a lot of TFC fans there. “Mabuti, masaya. Sobrang dami nung tao dun sa lugar na pinuntahan namin, ang daming sumuporta kaya ang sarap ng experience nun. Kaya sa lahat ng nanood ng Star Magic U.S. tour, maraming maraming salamat po. Masaya kami na napasaya namin lahat ng kababayan natin doon,” she began.

Adding to Kim’s excitement was the fact that she celebrated her 21st birthday with former reel and real life partner Gerald Anderson. When asked if Gerald gave her a gift this time, the young actress merely replied, “Ah… nag-dinner lang kami.” She didn’t elaborate, however, if it’s just a friendly date or if there’s a possibility of a rekindled romance between them.

On a lighter note, Kim said that she was given several birthday treats by her Star Magic family. She also confirmed recent reports that Piolo Pascual treated her and the rest of the group to a luxurious dinner during one of their night-outs together. “Nung mismong birthday ko kasama ko buong Star Magic family. Nag-celebrate kami dun tapos lumabas kami nung gabi. Oo, treat ni Papa P yun. Nakakatuwa kasi ang dami namin tapos magkakasama naming sinelebrate birthday ko. Tsaka gabi-gabi parang birthday ko lagi kasi kapag kumakain kami sa labas may kumakanta lagi ng happy birthday, tapos magblo-blow ako ng cake,” she related.

As for the latest updates regarding her love life, Kim was clearly surprised when she was told that Jolo Revilla revealed in a recent interview that he has plans to court her anytime soon. “Ano? Ha ha ha! Hindi ko alam [kung ano sasabihin ko]. Oo naman, siyempre flattered ako, nakakatuwa na humahanga pala siya sa akin. Kaibigan ko yun!” She added that they haven’t kept in touch lately since her phone got stolen right before she left the country. “Nanakaw ‘di ba yung phone ko? Ayun… yung cellphone ko nawala, na-cut yung BBM ko so hindi niya na alam yung bago kong BBM ID.”

Asked if she would give Jolo a chance once he becomes her suitor, Kim said that it’s too early for her to know whatever his intentions are. “Ano ba ‘yan, si Jolo? Nakakagulat naman… Nainitan tuloy ako, hindi ko alam, bahala na.” But she was also quick to say that she finds Jolo a real gentleman. “Sobrang gentleman niya. Nung story conference namin [para sa Binondo Girl bago ako nagpuntang U.S.], kinukuhaan niya ako ng chair, kinukuhaan niya ako ng mainit na tubig, binubuksan niya yung iinumin ko… Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Ano ka ba? Anong ginagawa mo?’”

With regards to her new admirer Simon Atkins, Kim revealed that they no longer have any communication.“Wala na po. Bakit? Wala lang,” she answered elusively.

Cristy Fermin under fire for 'sexist' statements!

MANILA, Philippines – A women's group is criticizing entertainment columnist and talk show host Cristy Fermin for issuing “sexist statements which condone abuse of women.”

Jean Enriquez, executive director of the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women – Asia Pacific (CATW-AP), slammed Fermin for making statements on her television show that purportedly dignified harassers and maligned lesbians.

The target of the group’s ire was these 2 remarks from Fermin:

· "...dalawang lalaking personalidad lang ang parang pinapayagan ng publiko na maging ‘matulis.’ Si Rico J. Puno lang atsaka si Willie [Revillame]. Pag sila ang nag-deliver para bang malaking karangalan mo pag mabastos ka.”

· "(Aiza) Seguerra should not talk about morality as she lives an immoral life.”

Enriquez said: “The first justifies sexual harassment when done by certain individuals. Is there a worse way of humiliating women than by dignifying harassers?”

She also blasted the impression that it is okay to harass women, or even children, “as long as one is able to 'deliver it well' ala-Rico J. or Willie R.”

Puno and Revillame are 2 personalities who are well-known for their double-meaning jokes.

That episode of the show has been uploaded on YouTube and now a hot topic in Twitterverse.

Homophobia

As for Fermin’s other statement which alluded to the sexual preference of former child actress Seguerra, who has a non-showbiz girlfriend, Enriquez said it “maligns lesbians as immoral.”

“Homophobia and stigmatization of lesbians is also a form of gender-based violence,” she said. “Both [statements] are appallingly, terribly sexist statements which condone abuse of women.”

Furthermore, she said her women friends have asked her why Fermin was even allowed to say them on air.

She criticized both media outfits and advertisers for allegedly capitalizing on the sexual objectification of women and children. She cited a controversy involving a 6-year-old boy that impersonated the body movements of a macho dancer on “Willing Willie.”

“Media has long played a critical role in objectifying women, including children as shown by the now controversial episode of Willie Revillame's program, and this has led to the normalization of abuse against us,” she said.

She is calling on civil groups to join ranks and demand a more responsible and gender-sensitive mass media.

“It is high time that we talk about the role of media in stereotyping, sexualizing and justifying abuses and violence against women and children,” she said.

Meanwhile, she also lauded some artists who spoke out against these forms of abuse.

Charice Pempengco will sing the 'Lupang Hinirang' sa Manny Pacquiao VS Shane Mosley fight this May 7!

MANILA, Philippines - International singing sensation Charice extended her appreciation to Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao for choosing her to sing the Philippine national anthem in his fight against Shane Mosley.
The fight will be held at MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 7, 2011.

In her official Twitter account, Charice said that she feels really blessed that Pacquiao chose her to sing "Lupang Hinirang" in the Mosley fight.

"Thank you Sir Manny Pacquiao for choosing me to sing the Philippine Nat'l Anthem for your fight. Feel really blessed :)," Charice said.

Pacquiao's advisor Michael Koncz said the boxing champion personally handpicked Charice to sing the anthem before the fight.

Koncz said they talked to Charice in Los Angeles about singing the anthem.
