Synopsis:
Gibson Bonifacio stopped speaking when he was a child. Now twenty years old, he returns home to Manila from his studies abroad, his first visit in three years. He finds his family trying to keep it together, his mother still hurting from a tragic loss in the past. Against the backdrop of the vibrant local music scene, his childhood best friend tries to reconnect with him, while he unexpectedly finds a chance at a first, real romantic relationship. Amidst the holidays, Gibson reconsiders and redefines his relationships with his family, his friends, and with himself.

Filmmakers Profile:
Marie Jamora took her Bachelor of Arts, Major in Communication at the Ateneo de Manila University, graduating Cum Laude in 2001. Her first short film, “pata ‘yan/patayan” (“A Pound of Flesh/The Killing”) won Best Short Narrative at the Ateneo Video Open. In her last year of college, she was suddenly derailed by her musical hero, Ely Buendia, when he asked her to co-direct an Eraserheads music video with him for their single, “Maskara.” This music video then was nominated for Best Group Video and Best Song Video at the MTV Pilipinas Awards in 2001. Since then, she has directed over 40 music videos, which have had over 30 nominations and 8 wins from the MTV Pilipinas Awards, NU107 Rock Awards, Awit Awards, and the MYX Music Awards. In 2005, she acquired her MFA degree in Film from Columbia University. As a Director, her short films have been in competition and exhibition in the Cinemanila International Film Festival, Singapore’s Women in Film Festival, the Loyola Film Circle’s Ateneo Video Open, and the University of the Philippines Cineastes INDEO Short Film Festival. As a Producer, her short film, “Three Boys” has made the rounds at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, Sao Paulo International Short Film Festival, Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, Cinemanila International Film Festival, winning the Gold Award at the 2009 Hong Kong Independent Film and Video Awards. She was an In–House Director at Unitel. In 2008, she challenged herself by helming the first season of Project Runway Philippines. Presently, she is part-time faculty at her alma mater, the Ateneo de Manila University, where she teaches DV Filmmaking.
