the 10 reasons why the newest Darna incarnation starring Marian Rivera will be a flop.
1) Because the series will be shown on GMA 7. Anything shown on the Kapuso network sucks. Kapamilya rules!
2) Because the casts are unheard of, not a good fit to the show’s characters, or do not have talent at all. Total crap and waste of viewers’ time!
3) Because viewers are already hooked into watching May Bukas Pa. Nothing beats Bro-addicts.
4) Aside from fending off the Super Villains, Darna will also face top stars like Dolphy, set to guest on May Bukas Pa.
5) God, it’s Darna once again?!?! Can’t GMA 7 think of something new?
6) Viewers only watch a Marian Rivera series when paired with Dingdong Dantes. (Oh, I stand corrected! Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang rated very poorly, so a Marian-Dingdong tandem is never a sure-hit anymore).
7) Fantaseryes had its heyday before. The genre is not new anymore! Viewers are tired and sick of it already.
8) Desperation is never the answer to declining ratings. Darna is a half-baked, poorly conceptualized and cheaply executed series.
9) If it wasn’t for AGB Nielsen’s ratings “manipulations,” Kapuso shows are goners. Now with the TNS Nationwide Ratings, Darna results can’t be “manipulated” as prevalently as before.
10) Because the new Darna (Marian Rivera) is just a starlet, now a has-been, and nothing but a second-rate copycat! She isn’t Angel Locsin, never will be.
