MANILA – “The Buzz” host Kris Aquino revealed on Sunday that controversial “Wowowee” host Willie Revillame is buying a jet plane.
Aquino said Revillame made this disclosure during the birthday party of “Bench” owner Ben Chan Saturday night.
She added that the popular noontime host also promised to take her two children - Joshua and Baby James – to Hong Kong via his new aircraft.
“Dumating si Willie. Tapos sinabi niya na magkaka-eroplano [siya]. Tapos pinangako niya kay Josh at Baby James [na] ililipad niya sa Hong Kong. Thank you, Willie,” Aquino said.
“May dalawa siyang ka-partner pero sharing sila doon sa jet,” she added.
Revillame, who also owns a yacht, is YES! magazine’s 2008 most powerful entertainer in local show business. The magazine said Revillame reportedly earns P1 million per day from his contract with ABS-CBN and endorsement agreements.
The host has yet to publicly confirm his P1-million pay check.
He is currently on leave from his noontime show "Wowowee" after drawing criticisms for ordering, on-air, the removal of former president Corazon Aquino's funeral convoy from his program on August 3.
Revillame, Kris said, is now in Cagayan de Oro to do a show, which is reportedly sponsored by Sen. Manuel Villar Jr. Last week, Revillame also made an appearance in a Villar-sponsored concert in Davao.
Aquino’s “The Buzz” co-host, Boy Abunda, said: “That’s what I always say about Willie. Mga kaibigan, nanatili [siyang] inspirasyon because he works very hard.”
Meanwhile, on tabloid reports romantically linking Revillame to actress Lorna Tolentino, Aquino said: “Willie said, ‘Biru-biruan lang iyan, Kris.’ I think si Tirso (Cruz III) and [his wife] Lynn (Ynchausti) ang medyo nagma-match sa kanila. Paalis na kami, hinabol pa niya (Revillame) ako at sabi, ‘Uy, nakakahiya sa memory ni Da Boy.’”
Tolentino was married to Rudy “Da Boy” Fernandez who passed away last year due to cancer.
