MANILA, Philippines - Rumored couple Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez were seen together during the action star's surprise birthday party for his daughter Queenie last Friday.
Padilla and Rodriguez were spotted in what could be considered as their first public date after Rodriguez admitted dating the action star a few weeks ago.
The two were seen talking intimately in a corner of the venue, where Queenie's family and friends gathered for her birthday. Queenie is the eldest daughter of Padilla to former wife Liezl Sycangco. The marriage ended in divorce in 2007.
Rodriguez admitted that Padilla invited her to the party and even quipped, "Ang haba ng bangs ko no?"
Rumors abound that they were in a relationship and they were living together in Rodriguez's condominium unit, a speculation Rodriguez vehemently denied.
The two worked together when Padilla became a guest host in “Wowowee” as original host Willie Revillame remains on indefinite leave.
When asked if they are officially a couple, Rodriguez's answer remained safe. "I'm not going to say anything out of the ordinary. We're getting to know each other," she told “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon.”
Rodriguez also denied that she and Padilla are talking about her past relationship with comedy actor and model Zanjoe Marudo.
"Kung may pag-uusapan sa past parang mas marami naman ata siyang past," she said, giggling.
Meanwhile, Queenie was thankful that Rodriguez was in the party, saying she looked up to the host.
"I was surprised and very thankful na nakapunta po siya because I really admire her. She's very beautiful and talented. I don't see anything wrong with that (Padilla dating Rodriguez) kasi single si papa, single naman si Mariel so okay lang sa akin," she said.
