TV 5′s “Willing-Willie,” topped its rival newscasts for the first time, getting a rating of 10.8%. GMA’s “24 Oras” got 9.9% while ABS-CBN’s “TV Patrol” is the lowest with only 9.2% last Wednesday, December 8, 2010!
This led to their new show, Cristy Fermin’s “Star Confession,” also rating high with 10%. This should be enough cause for alarm to the two reigning networks. Obviously, the return of Noli de Castro and Korina Sanchez didn’t help attract new viewers for “TV Patrol” and this should be enough for ABS to be more annoyed, what with their former talent, Willie, beating them in the ratings. No wonder they continue to file cases against him.
But as one self appointed pundit says, the more they sue Willie, the more he seems to gain the public’s sympathy. “Mas nagmumukha lang siyang kinakawawa sa mata ng tao kaya mas marami tuloy naeengganyo sa show niya.”
