Drama actor Coco Martin vehemently denied reports saying he is courting young actress Julia Montes.
In an interview with “Showbiz News Ngayon” (SNN) on Wednesday, Martin clarified that he and Montes have been friends for quite some time now and that he is not wooing the “Mara Clara” star.
“Hindi, hindi, hindi. Si Julia magkakilala na kami dati pa. Nakakaisang soap opera pa lang ako sa ABS-CBN. Sa ibang channel pa lang nagkakatrabaho na kami,” he said.
Meanwhile, SNN host Bianca Gonzalez revealed that she was surprised at the news item because she knows someone else who admires Montes.
“Nagulat ako doon sa item about Coco Martin and Julia Montes. Hindi ko alam na may ganoon pala kasi ang alam kong may gusto kay Julia Montes ay ibang young star. Ibang young actor,” she said.
The TV host, however, declined to reveal the identity of the young actor but rather, she gave a clue on who he is.
“Nire-respect natin ang privacy niya kasi hindi pa siya ready to come out with it. Pero mayroon siyang show na malapit nang lumabas sa ABS-CBN primetime very soon. Pero ibang hunk actor na leading man,” she disclosed.
