So the rumor that GMA-7 executives were allegedly not happy with the performance of “Amaya” is not true. To stop the rumor, the Kapuso Network announced that they will extend the airing of the epicserye until November this year.

According to the management of GMA-7, they are happy with the performance of “Amaya” since it premiered last May 28. They pointed out that it captured the no. 1 spot in Mega Manila paving the way for their whole Telebabad line-up to regain leadership in the TV ratings.

Furthermore, the show is being endorsed by the Department of Education (DepEd) and the National Commission for the Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

Last Monday, June 20, Amaya registered 29.4% on AGB Nielsen’s Household Ratings beating its rival program Guns And Roses which only posted 21.1% The remaining Telebabad shows like Munting Heredera, Secret Garden, Temptation of Wife, and even late night programs like Saksi and I Witness also bested their rival programs in Mega Manila.
