Gerald Anderson and Cristine Reyes will be paired for the upcoming primetime series, ABS-CBN’s Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin.

Gerald’s last teleserye was Budoy (2011-2012) where he played the lead role as the retardate Benjamin Maniego, while Cristine last starred in Dahil Sa Pag-ibig (2012).

Also in the cast of Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin is Cristine’s real-life boyfriend Rayver Cruz. But, of course, we know Gerald and Rayver are good friends so I guess there wouldn’t be a problem with the former being paired to the latter’s girlfriend.

Interestingly, however, both Rayver and Gerald were both formerly linked to Popstar Sarah Geronimo in the past. Rayver was Sarah’s boyfriend first before he became Cristine’s, while Gerald recently courted Sarah (although he stopped and decided they are just better off as friends) and now will be Cristine’s leading man.

Anyway, to make it more exciting, ABS-CBN also signed up two of the most respected actresses in showbiz for parts in this series. Maricel Soriano and Dina Bonnevie are joining the cast and even just for that fact, people already know it’s a real heavy drama.

Tonton Gutierrez and Diana Zubiri, who signed with ABS-CBN early this month, are also in the cast. This will be her first project as a Kapamilya.

After her last TV project with ABS-CBN which is Sineserye Presents: Florinda and last movie with Star Cinema which is T2 in 2009, Diamond Star – Maricel Soriano finally returns to the Kapamilya Network with her comeback teleserye entitled Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin. Maricel officially signed a contract with ABS-CBN last September 24 the same day where they had the story conference for the primetime drama series that they will be starting very soon

Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin will be directed by Jerome Ponocan Chavez and Tots Mariscal Sanchez. Joining Maricel Soriano in this project is a power cast including Gerald Anderson, Cristine Reyes, Rayver Cruz, Dina Bonnevie, TonTon Guttierez, and the new member of the Kapamilya Network Diana Zubiri. With this kind of cast viewers should expect a mixture of action and drama that will give those intense scenes from start to finish of every episode when it is finally premiered on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida.

Maricel Soriano is very thankful that she ABS-CBN welcomes her with open arms and immediately trusted her with this kind of project. It will be the first time that Maricel will be working with the younger cast. And she is very excited to work with all of them.

After the success of ASAP Kanto Boys that includes John Lloyd Cruz, Billy Crawford, Vhong Navarro and Luis Manzano, ASAP 2012 brings another all male group segment that will make every girls fall in love every Sunday afternoon on ABS-CBN. I am referring to Gerald Anderson, Enchong Dee, Xian Lim and Rayver Cruz of the ASAP POPables. They were also known as the Teleserye Princes of Star Magic that gives color and exciting to ABS-CBN’s top-rating TV series. They were officially introduced in ASAP 2012 this afternoon (July 22, 2012).

Gerald, Enchong, and Rayver were known in the ASAP stage because of their dance moves in SupahDance along with other ASAP Kapamilya, while Xian who the singer in the group just launched his debut album few month ago. Being together in one group Gerald, Enchong, Xian and Rayver that are part of the new ASAP POPables group will surely give another reason for every kapamilyas all over the world to make sure that they will tune in to ASAP 2012 every Sunday just to watch this good looking, charismatic and talented new generation of actors and leading men as they hit the ASAP 2012 stage.

Isang madamdaming birthday episode finale ang naganap sa month-long birthday celebration saSarah G Live ang nangyari noong Sunday, July 29. Naging guest kasi dito ang mga magulang ni Sarah na sina Daddy Delfin at Mommy Divine. Dito ay tinalakay ang mga isyung ibinabato sa ina ni Sarah na diumano’y pinagbawalan nang manligaw si Gerald sa Pop Star Princess. 

Naging guest star ni Sarah si AiAi delas Alas na nakatrabaho ng actress-host noon, na siya ring nagtanong sa mga magulang ni Sarah sa interview portion. 

Sinagot ni Mommy Divine kung ano ang klase ng gusto niyang lalaki para sa kanyang anak. “Alam ni Sarah ‘to, lagi naming pinag-uusapan. Pinagpi-pray lang namin at saka gusto lang namin (kung ano ang best para sa kanya), pero kung ano ang gusto niya ‘yun pa rin. Pero sa amin lang pinagpi-pray namin na makakatagpo siya ng lalaki na masasandalan niya for life, ang tutulong sa kanya intellectually, spiritually at sana ‘yung habang-buhay talagang di siya iiwan,” mahabang paliwanag ni Mommy Divine.

“Simple lang, ang makakapagtiyaga at matatanggap kung ano ang mga gusto namin at di lolokohin ang anak ko. ‘Yun ang importante do’n. Ayoko ng iiyak pa ang anak ko,” sabi naman ni Daddy Delfin. 

Sinagot din ni Sarah ang tanong kung sino ang nagpapatibok sa kanyang puso at malinaw na ang tinutukoy niya rito ay si Gerald. “Kung sino man siya siguro kailangan ng panahon para mapatunayan ko sa sarili ko kung totoo ang itinitibok ng puso ko, o totoo ang itinitibok ng puso niya. Sabi niya time will tell (if we will end up together or not), hindi ang gusto ko, kundi ang gusto ng Diyos para sa akin.” 

Isiningit pa ni Mommy Divine na mararamdaman niya kung sino ang ibibigay ng Lord para kay Sarah dahil isa siyang ina. 

Nang sundutin ni AiAi ng tanong si Mommy Divine kung naibigay na ba ni Lord ang tamang lalaki para kay Sarah, sagot niya, “Hindi pa, wala pa. Alam ni Sarah ‘yon.” 

Sinagot din ni Mommy Divine ang isyung maingay ngayon na sinabihan raw umano niya si Gerald na itigil na ang panliligaw kay Sarah. “Actually kami nga ni daddy ang nagbigay ng permiso na ligawan niya sa bahay (si Sarah). Kinausap talaga namin siya nang pormal. Sabi ko sa bahay lang pwedeng ligawan ang anak ko, hindi sa labas, hindi sa text. Sabi ko, ‘Kung mapagpapasensyahan mo ang patakaran namin… ganito kami and nirerespeto namin kayo, sana respetuhin mo rin kami kasi babae ang anak ko.’ Ewan ko kung dapat sabihin pero hindi yata ano. Parang hindi niya mapagtyagaan ‘yung ganon…”

Halatang sinubukan ni Sarah na pigilan pa na magsalita pa ang ina at siya na ang sumagot nang direkta sa tanong. “Sa totoo po talaga hindi po ang mommy ko ang nagpatigil kay Gerald na manligaw talaga. Wala hindi po talaga.” 

Naging madamdamin din ang mensahe ni Mommy Divine kay Sarah bago kinanta ni Sarah ang kanyang final song. “Natatandaan mo ang pinag-usapan natin sa CR?” simula ni Mommy Divine. “’Mommy, sorry’ sabi mo sa akin. Sabi ko, ‘Nak kahit ano’ng mangyari, magtampo man kayo, magalit minsan sa akin pero magiging firm ako sa stand ko. Kahit ano’ng tama para sa inyo lagi kong ilalaban para maprotektahan kayo, para hindi di kayo mapahanak at mabigyan kayo ng magandang kinabukasan. Maipagmalaki kahit sino, kahit saan kayo magpunta. Sino man ang masuwete para sa ‘yo, maging masuwerte sa ‘yo dahil pinag-ingatan ka namin, di ba?’”

Sinagot naman ito ni Sarah at ipinahayag ang kanyang pasasalamat sa kanyang mga magulang. “Sobrang laki ng pasasalamat ko sa Diyos dahil buo tayo, Mommy at nandyan kayo para magabayan ako. Bumangon ako pag nagkakamali ako, minamahal ako kahit nagkakamali ako at patawad po dahil di po ako perpekto pong anak. Pero gagawin ko ang makakaya para patuloy kayong mahalin at sundin sa mga aral na binibigay (ninyo) sa akin dahil alam ko po na kayo ang nakakaalam ng makakabuti sa akin, so mahal na mahal ko po kayo.” 

Naging makahulugan naman ang isinagot ni Sarah nang sabihan siya ng kanyang nanay na darating din ang tamang lalaking mamahalin niya. 

“Darating din ‘yon, anak. Wag kang mag-aalala,” ani Mommy Divine sa anak. 

Sagot naman ni Sarah, “Di naman ako nagmamadali, Ma, muntik lang.” Pagkatapos ay niyakap ni Sarah ang ina at naiyak.

After the much talked about guest appearance of Gerald Anderson last Sunday, Popstar Sarah Geronimo will share the centerstage with her beloved parents, Mommy Divine and Daddy Delfin on a ‘Family Night’ episode this Sunday (July 29) in the continuation of her month-long birthday celebration in her solo musical variety show “Sarah G. Live!” 


Watch out for Sarah’s heartwarming musical number with her dad and her must-see one-on-one interview with her mother Mommy Divine, where the two are set to tackle some of the ‘hot topics’ that will surely keep the viewers glued on their TV sets. Aside from Sarah’s parents, Comedy Queen AiAi delas Alas, OPM icon Basil Valdez, and world-class singing group The Company will grace the “SGL” concert stage. 


Meanwhile, international Pinoy R&B sensation Billy Crawford will return to “SGL” this Sunday as Sarah’s guest co-host. OH NO!!!! Sana hindi ito totoo =( Just last Monday, July 23 midnight (Philippine time), Showbiz Columnist Ogie Diaz tweeted a 'Blind Item' in his Twitter account that G finally gaveup to S because of Mother Dear. Obviously, he was referring to Gerald Anderson and Sarah Geronimo and Mommy Divine.

So Sarah goes, "Anong birthday message mo para sa akin?" and Gerald was at a loss for words. I won't discuss extensively na how Gerald's eyes were just staring at Sarah as if to say "omigod I love you" (as in ganun talaga yung effect ng stare niya nakakabaliw) because there aren't enough words to describe it. AS IN. Anyway, after they showed a shot of his hands na nanginginig, the camera went back to their faces and HULING-HULI na Gerald were mouthing the words "gusto ko na talagang sabihin Babe" to Sarah as in napa-omigod ako when I watched it because I didn't see that earlier. Sarah then mouthed back "sige lang go, sabihin mo". He seemed to change his mind from the time Sa said that to the time he spoke into the mic again kasi iba na yung sinabi niya.

"As much as gusto kong sabihin na kami, we are friends and hindi po ako nasisinungaling sa inyo. I'm very proud na friend ako ni Sarah. Totoo na she really inspires me at I'm very happy na nakilala ko siya on a different level. But hindi po kami, hindi kami,"  

"Sa totoo lang bakit nangyari 'yon but siyempre nakita niyo na nagulat ako pero siyempre kinilig din ako. Nanghina ang tuhod ko noon parang 'wow totoo ba ito?' You know kapag ang isang Sarah Geronimo ay tinawag kang 'babe' ay wow, thank you."
