Bagaman wala pang planong gagawin, siniguro nina Dennis Trillo at Jennylyn Mercado na magkasama nilang isi-celebrate ang darating na Valentine’s Day.

Habang tumatagal ay lalo raw nagiging matatag ang relasyon nina Dennis at Jennylyn. Ang hilig nila sa musika ang pinapaniwalaang isa sa dahilan kaya tumitibay ang kanilang pagmamahalan, ayon sa ulat ni entertainment reporter Lhar Santiago.

“Meron kaming mga paboritong kanta, mahilig lang kaming makinig pereho. Pero yung pagkanta ng sabay ginagawa lang namin sa Party Pilipinas," pahayag ni Dennis sa Chika Minute ng GMA news 24 Oras nitong Miyerkules.

“Minsan katuwaan lang, ‘pag naglalaro-laro lang," sambit naman ni Jen.

Tila namana naman daw ng kani-kanilang anak ng hilig nila sa musika. Ngayon pa lang daw ay umiindak na ang dalawa kapag nakakarinig ng mga tugtugin.

Si Dennis ay may anak kay Carlene Aguilar, habang nagbunga naman ang pagmamahalan noon nina Jennylyn at Patrick Garcia.

Payag kaya sina Dennis at Jen na maging artista rin ang kanilang mga anak?

“Depende ‘yon sa kanila. Hindi ko maipipilit na gawin yung ginagawa ko," ayon kay Denis.

Si Jennylyn naman, “Pwede na nilang gawin yung gusto nilang gawin pagkatapos ng pag-aaral nila."

Sa Araw ng mga Puso, sinabi nina Jennylyn at Dennis na nais nilang ipagdiwang ito na magkasama.

“Hindi pa naman napagpaplanuhan dahil hindi ko pa alam kung may trabaho ako on that day. Kung hindi man that day, ibang araw na lang siguro. Ang mahalaga ma-celebrate naming magkasama," ayon kay Dennis.

“Wala naman akong hinihingi eh, basta importante magkasama kami, makapag-celebrate kami together," pahayag ng aktres. - FRJimenez, GMA News

Vhong Navarro going to take a 2 weeks Break on 'Showtime'!

MANILA, Philippines - Actor-comedian Vhong Navarro is taking a short break from ABS-CBN's hit morning noontime show "Showtime."

"Sa Valentine's kasi magbabakasyon ako kasama ang aking friends kaya two weeks akong mawawala. Sana sa pagbalik ko nandiyan pa din kayo na sumusuporta sa akin. Magpapahinga lang naman ako," Navarro told Showbiz News Ngayon.

Navarro and his friends will spend their short vacation abroad. Rumor has it that the actor-comedian’s non-showbiz girlfriend will join the group.

In the same interview, Navarro also expressed his support to ABS-CBN's newest noontime show, "Happy Yipee Yehey!"

"Nakasuporta tayo sa bagong papalit. At the same time, at least ngayon ay babalik na tayo sa dating timeslot ng ‘Showtime’ kasi yon naman talaga dapat ang oras natin,” he said.

Navarro also extended his appreciation to all his supporters and people who watched his comedy-horror film "Bulong," with Angelica Panganiban as his leading lady.

Star Cinema Movie 'Bulong' only earns P33.25 Million Pesos in 5 days!

“Bulong”, Star Cinema’s horror comedy film, topped Philippine box-office last week with a haul of P33.25 million in first 5 days.

Starring Vhong Navarro and Angelica Panganiban, “Bulong” is Star Cinema’s opening salvo for 2011 and the first local mainstream movie to be screened this year after the Metro Manila Film Festival.

Star Cinema’s previous horror films earned higher in their first 5 days of showing. “Cinco” which was shown July last year had an opening gross of P38.59M while the MMFF entry “Dalaw” earned around P50 million. However, the P33.25 million opening weekend gross of “Bulong” is not bad at all.

“Bulong” bested 3 Hollywood movies which also debuted last week: The Rite (#3), Burlesque (#4) and the Warrior’s Way (#9). It was also the grand opening week of “Tangled” after its 3D debut last 2 weeks ago.

'Green Rose' Premieres on Valentines Day February 14!

ABS-CBN alters the color of love as it gives you another television masterpiece starting February 14, “Green Rose.”

A local adaptation of the Koreanovela with the same title, “Green Rose” fuses four of the most-admired stars of today—Jericho Rosales, Anne Curtis, Jake Cuenca and Alessandra De Rossi as they portray major roles in the said series.

Jericho, whose last teleserye with ABS-CBN is ‘Dahil May Isang Ikaw’ opposite Kristine Hermosa, will breathe life to the character of Jerome Delgado, a simple man with simple dreams in life. He will do everything to protect his name. “Maganda yung papel ko dito. I can say na this is one of my favorite projects,” Jericho shared.

Meanwhile, Anne, whose last full-series was “The Wedding” back in 2009, is now very excited to play the role of Angela Tuazon, the woman who will fall in love with Jerome Delgado. “Namiss ko maging part ng teleserye talaga. Kaya now that I’m given the chance again, I will definitely do my best,” Anne expressed.

Jericho and Anne were paired in the film “Baler” in 2008 where Anne was nominated three times in separate award-giving bodies under the Best Actress category. On the other hand, Jericho won two Best Actor awards for his effective portrayal in the said movie.

Jake, who was part of the “Rubi” remake, is ecstatic about ABS-CBN’s upcoming primetime series “Green Rose,” “Eversince we started taping for Green Rose, excited na ko na umere yung series dahil, walang bola po, ang ganda ng kwento. Kahit pa part ako ng cast, gusto ko rin mapanood sa primetime ito,” Jake said. Jake is Edward Fuentabella in the series, a man who’s aggressive in achieving his goals even if it means betraying the people who have trusted him.

Alessandra will also be playing a vital part in the series as she portrays the character of Geena Rallos, the woman who’s willing to do anything for the love of Edward. Alessandra was last seen in ‘Wansapanataym’s Cara.’

Jericho, Anne, Jake and Alessandra will be supported by a league of high-caliber actors and actresses– Susan Africa, Ping Medina, Smokey Manaloto, Kitkat, Gardo Versoza, Ricardo Cipeda and Janus del Prado.

Directed by three critically-acclaimed directors in the country, Dondon Santos, Manny Palo and Darnel Joy Villaflor, “Green Rose” is an action-suspense drama that also tackles on a love story tweaked by dangerous factors.

John Estrada says there was no formal offer from Willie Revillame for a noontime show!

As ABS-CBN’s newest noontime variety show Happy Yipee Yehey debuts this Saturday, February 12, the issue between its main hosts John Estrada and Randy Santiago and their good friend and former MTB co-host Willie Revillame has not died down. Willie has reportedly severed communications with his two friends after he found out they signed up again with ABS-CBN. But during the February 8 presscon for Happy Yipee Yehey held at the Dolphy Theater inside ABS-CBN compound, John clarified that there was never really any binding contract between him and Willie. “There was never a formal agreement. Usapang barkada yun. Usapang kaibigan yun na ang dami-dami naming napag-usapan na ganun na hindi naman natutuloy, so dun lang po kami nanggagaling. Our first offer came from ABS-CBN. I spoke with the bosses of TV5 and they gave a serious offer nung dumating ang ABS-CBN. Meaning, gumawa sila ng counter offer. Yun po yun. Nauna talaga yung ABS-CBN,” he shared, speaking also on Randy Santiago’s behalf.

When Willie found out about their contract with ABS-CBN, he called up John via cellphone on air during his variety show and berated John for not considering his offer. This was a totally unexpected move considering John thought he would be able to clarify things with his friend. “Hindi ko alam na live pala ako. Akala ko mag-uusap lang kami. That night when he called me up, sasabihin ko na, alam ko magagalit siya, nag-eksplika ako ng maayos. Pero hindi nga ako naka-react eh. Kaya wala akong masabi over the phone. Pinakinggan ko na lang siya. At the same time, ang huling sinabi ko sa kanya, tatawagan ko na lang siya ulit kasi hindi kami magkakaintindihan eh. That was the last time we talked,” he shared.

John also showed his unwillingness to burn bridges with his friend by not sharing with some press people’s sentiments that what Willie did was a form of power-tripping, because he chose to broadcast what was supposed to be a private conversation between friends. “To be honest, ang daming nagsasabi sa akin that it was power tripping na ginawa niya yun. Pero ang sagot ko dun, ang totoo, baka sa akin hindi yun ganun. Nag-react lang siya bilang isang kaibigan,” he explained.

Another issue that further fueled the flames of their rift was his absence at Willie’s 50th birthday celebration held last January 29, which he and Randy Santiago were reportedly supposed to host. “Hindi naman sa hindi kami dumating. Hindi na kami inimbita. To set the record straight, hindi na kami pinaimbita. Alam na namin yun, siyempre naman. Hindi sa hindi kami sumipot dun, hindi kami ganun,” he clarified.

The cinematic style documentary “Storyline” by Patricia Evangelista and Paolo Villaluna received the most number of nominations among all Philippine entries as it competes in three categories namely Biography/Profiles, Community Portraits, and Social Issues/Current Events categories.

In the Telenovela category which is a newly introduced, two own made Philippine TV series were from ABS-CBN. These were the Jericho Rosales - Kristine Hermosa drama series "Dahil May Isang IKaw" and the first ever fashion-serye on TV, "Magkaribal" which led by Bea Alonzo, Enchong Dee, Erich Gonzales, Derek Ramsey, Angel Aquino, and Gretchen Barreto!

And of course, the intense Manila bus siege coverage “Bloodbath in Manila” in August 23, 2010 make it on the Breaking News Category. Ces Drilon's "I Survived" bagged the Docudrama category nomination while the promotional spot titled “Altar,” created by ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management for the fire prevention month, was also named finalist for the Copywriting: Promotion Spot category.

These 8 nominations from ABS-CBN plus the 4 more from GMA give the Philippine a total of 12 Finalists all in all, the most number of finalists from the Philippines in this year’s competition!

Announcement of winners to receive a gold, silver, and bronze medals respectively will be on the same date of the National Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas from April 9-14, 2011!

Ai Ai delas Alas and 'Unnamed' Italian-Colombian Boyfriend Date Photo

To belied the gossip linking her to TV director GB Sampedro, the very proud Ai-Ai delas Alas revealed to the public the guy who will become her date on Valentines Day.

The guy, whom Ai-Ai doesn't want to disclosed name in public, is a 26-years-old, 5'11" Italian-Colombian model. He is here in Manila to shoot a TV commercial for a brand he is endorsing.

Ai-Ai and her "mystery guy" met in a high end bar a month ago. The guy is said to be the one who approached and introduced himself to Ai-Ai.

"Hindi niya alam na artista ako. Hindi niya alam na Best Actress ako. Pero kasi siyempre, nagtitinginan yung mga tao sa bar. Na-curious siya, 'Sino bang tinitingnan n'yo?'

"Pagkakita niya sa akin, 'Dyusko, 'yan lang ba? Gandaah!' Parang gano'n! 'Hindi naman kagandahan, pinagkakaguluhan n'yo? Sino ba 'yan?' Gano'n!" the concert-comedy queen said.

"Tapos, nag-meet kami. Nakilala ko na siya. Guwapo siya!" she added.

According to Ai-Ai, they are still in the "getting to know each other" stage but she is very much open to the possibility of getting romantically involve to her "mystery guy". She now calls him "Babe" and he calls her "Mi amore" (my love).

The looooooong-hairrrrrrrrrrr Ai-Ai also revealed a text message he sent to her:

“Your friendship regardless what becomes of everything is the only gift I would ask of you.”

Christina Aguilera Explains National Anthem Flub!

Christina Aguilera is well aware that she made a boo-boo while singing the National Anthem opening up Sunday's Super Bowl XLV. Singing Francis Scott Key's "The Star-Spangled Banner" live at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the singer, 30, flubbed the lyrics -- trilling "what so proudly we watched" instead of the correct lyrics, "o'er the ramparts we watched."

So what happened?

Aguilera opened up about the gaffe in a statement. "I got so caught up in the moment of the song that I lost my place," says the star. "I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through."

Prior to the performance, the veteran entertainer said she was psyched to sing the patriotic ditty before millions of viewers.

"I have been performing the anthem since I was seven years old and I must say the Super Bowl is a dream come true...I am really excited to be part of such an iconic event."

Looks like Christina Aguilera isn't standing alone in the aftermath of her much buzzed-about Super Bowl gaffe.

The singer, who fumbled through the lines of the National Anthem Sunday, is getting some love from fellow Super Bowl performer, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas.

"I completely understand. She's one of the best singers of our time," the "Fergalicious" songstress told sportscaster Dan Patrick on his Sports Illustrated radio show Monday morning. "Nobody can take that away from [her]. But you get nervous at these things. We're human."

The singer, who took to the stage with her bandmates for a flashy, rousing half-time show, said nerves probably caused Aguilera's blunder.

"It's such a huge venue, your nerves take a hold of you," she said.

Added the singer: "Some of my notes were pitchy to me. [But] it was so exhilarating. The whole thing. It was so big. That's a once-in-a-lifetime thing."

Fellow Anthem singer and "American Idol" vet Jordin Sparks also spoke up in defense of Aguilera: "The test of a true artist is continuing even when things go a little left & not letting people know it did during the performance. I love Xtina."

During the anthem, Aguilera flubbed the fourth line of the song, belting: "What so proudly we watched at the twilight's last reaming," to the bewilderment of somber Super Bowl fans.

The lyrics that should have come at that point in the song: "O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming."

Aguilera, who is no stranger to "The Star Spangled Banner" - the "Burlesque" star belted the National Anthem at last year's NBA Game 7 - defended her lyrical slip in a statement to the Wall Street Journal's Speakeasy blog Monday.

"I got so caught up in the moment of the song that I lost my place," she explained.

"I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through."

Sa darating na Sabado ay muli nating mapapanood sa telebisyon si Mariel Rodriguez sa pinakabagong noon time show na Happy Yippie Yehey. Marami ang nag-aabang sa pagbabalik ng TV host. Noong Sabado ay nag-guest si Mariel sa Entertainment Live matapos siyang mawala ng ilang buwan. Naikuwento niya dito na masaya siya bilang may bahay ni Robin Padilla.

“Nagpaka-wife ako. Alam n’yo namang bagong kasal kami ni Robin, so kailangan kong maging mabuting maybahay, and I’m very happy being a wife. Very happy ang aming married life. Mas maalaga si Robin sa akin rather than ako ang mas maalaga sa kanya,” pahayag ni Mariel.

Masaya rin si Mariel sa pagkakaayos nila ni Toni Gonzaga. “Noong una, it was kinda awkward. Oo small talk may ganun, noong finally nadoon na, it felt good kasi nailabas na. The nice thing is during the time na we were talking, ang daming nangyari sa amin, kaming dalawa. Iba yung journey na pinag-uusapan namin ngayon. It’s a different level din. It’s a new chapter,” masayang kuwento pa ni Mariel.

Maging si Toni ay excited na rin sa show na pagsasamahan nila ni Mariel. “Nag-dry run na kami for the segments for the flow of the show. It was very relaxing, it was smooth. Di kami nag-trabaho at nagkita ni Mariel ng matagal. Noong pagsabak namin, walang adjustment na nangyari kasi memorize ko na siya, memorize na rin niya ako. We’re looking forward to something bigger, better, happier, so yung mga bagay na hurtful ay ayaw na naming pag-usapan. We both agreed with that, na huwag na nating pag-usapan,” kuwento naman ni Toni.

Nagkaayos na rin sina Mariel at ang nakatampuhan din noon na si Luis Manzano. Napag-usapan ng dalawa kung ano ang naging problema nila at na-solve naman nila ito. Ngayon ay masaya na muli ang pagkakaibigan nina Mariel, Toni at Luis.

Gerald Anderson & Matteo Guidicelli is Sarah Geronimo's 'Just The Way You Are' Movie Leading Men!

Masaya si Sarah Geronimo dahil kasisimula pa lang ng taon ay nabigyan na siya ng pelikula ng Star Cinema, ang film production arm ng ABS-CBN.

Makakapareha ni Sarah dito ang dalawa sa young leading men sa Kapamilya Network—sina Gerald Anderson at Matteo Guidicelli.

Saad ni Sarah, nakapag-shooting na sila ng ilang araw para sa pelikula, na idinidirek ni Mae Cruz.

"Ay, masaya, masaya po sa set," sabi ng young singer. "Positive, at walang nakasimangot. Hopefully, ganun pa rin kapag malapit na yung playdate...

"Para nga kaming magkakapatid sa set, e. Nagkagaanan kami ng loob kaagad, kahit yung mga kapatid ng karakter ko."

Inilarawan din ni Sarah kung anong klaseng mga leading men sina Matteo at Gerald.

"Kasi hindi pa kami nagkatrabaho nang matagal, pero ang napansin ko naman sa kanilang dalawa, pareho silang professional, gentlemen, inaalalayan ako talaga. Yung respeto sa babaeng co-star, makikita mo sa kanila," saad nito.

Inamin ni Sarah na nararamdaman niya ang pressure sa paggawa ng bagong romantic-comedy film para sa Star Cinema.

"Ang pressure naman, lagi namang nandiyan 'yan. Sabi nga ni Gerald, we should take it as a challenge na rin para mas pagbutihan natin ang mga trabaho natin. Para hindi naman ma-disappoint ang mga tao.

"Bahala na si Lord kung anong magiging outcome ng proyektong ito, kung maa-appreciate ng mga tao. Pero alam namin sa sarili na ibinigay namin yung makakaya namin para pagandahin ang pelikula," sabi ng Pop Princess.
