After the successful release of the two male groups ASAP Boyfriends (Daniel Padilla, Khalil Ramos and Enrique Gil) and the ASAP POPables (Gerald Anderson, Enchong Dee, Xian Lim and Rayver Cruz), ASAP 2012 now introduces another group that will surely give you that relaxing and soulful music every Sunday afternoon with the ASAP Covers. Coming from different ASAP groups including ASAP Sessionistas, ASAP Pinoy Champs, ASAP Acoustic Republic, and BoysRBoys, ASAP brings Aiza Seguerra, Yeng Constantino, Sam Milby, Paolo Valenciano, JM de Guzman and Zia Quizon together to complete the latest ASAP Covers.
Officially launched on the August 5 episode of ASAP 2012, ASAP Covers will offer a perfect mix of songs including pop, ballad, alternative and acoustic that will cater to all viewers of the top-rating afternoon musical variety show of ABS-CBN. Nominations for the 39th International Emmy® Awards were announced last October 3,2011 by The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at a Press Conference at Mipcom. There are 40 nominees in 10 categories. Winners will be announced at a Black-Tie Ceremony on November 21, 2011 at the Hilton New York Hotel.
Nominees:
Nominations span a record 20 countries: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, The Philippines, and The United Kingdom, The competition has three rounds of judging over a period of 6 months, with participation from over 800 judges in 67 different countries.
"The International Emmy® Awards is a tough competition with over 1000 entries from 61 countries, this year." said Bruce L. Paisner, President & CEO of The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. "The number and range of countries represented by this year's nominees is astonishing and a testament to the growing strength and skill of television production around the world."
In addition to the presentation of the International Emmy® Awards for programming and performances, The Academy will present two special awards. Veteran British producer Nigel Lythgoe, Co-creator and Executive Producer of So You Think You Can Dance & Executive Producer of American Idol, is set to receive the 2011 International Emmy® Founders Award. Subhash Chandra, Chairman Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, will receive the 2011 International Emmy® Directorate Award.
