Billy Crawford at Nikki Gil Star on Maalaala Mo Kaya!

After pairing up for a Valentine episode of Your Song Presents, music sweethearts Billy Crawford and Nikki Gil will again team up to show that they are not just great performers but also good actors. In this Saturday’s episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya, Billy plays a pastor and wedding singer named Toto. He will fall madly in love with a blind girl named Nene, who he meets at a wedding. In the course of their relationship, Toto and Nene will prove that their love is stronger than death. In an interview with SNN, Billy confessed that he felt nervous upon saying yes to the project, but good thing he had Nikki by his side. “Natatakot ako. Matagal na kasi akong hindi uma-acting eh. But at the same time I’m definitely happy because makakatrabaho ko uli si Nikki. From reading the script I know it’s going to be good. The story is heartfelt. I also love seeing Nikki act. I’m a big fan of her acting and she knows it,” said the international recording artist. On the other hand, Nikki has proven her acting chops in previous teleseryes Rounin, Pangarap na Bituin, and Pieta. However, Nikki realized that doing scenes with your real-life boyfriend is not something easy. “It might be weird. Ewan ko. Hindi lang kasi naming ma-imagine na aarte kami at magda-dialogue kami sa isa’t isa na madrama talaga.”
