'Precious Hearts Romances: Impostor' nominated at 2011 International Emmy Awards for Telenovela!

Nominations for the 39th International Emmy® Awards were announced last October 3,2011 by The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at a Press Conference at Mipcom. There are 40 nominees in 10 categories. Winners will be announced at a Black-Tie Ceremony on November 21, 2011 at the Hilton New York Hotel.

Nominees:

Nominations span a record 20 countries: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, The Philippines, and The United Kingdom, The competition has three rounds of judging over a period of 6 months, with participation from over 800 judges in 67 different countries.

"The International Emmy® Awards is a tough competition with over 1000 entries from 61 countries, this year." said Bruce L. Paisner, President & CEO of The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. "The number and range of countries represented by this year's nominees is astonishing and a testament to the growing strength and skill of television production around the world."

In addition to the presentation of the International Emmy® Awards for programming and performances, The Academy will present two special awards. Sabihin n’yo nang ilusyon lang ‘yong sinasabi namin. At least, kahit ilusyon, ang sarap pa rin sa pakiramdam at masarap pa ring isipin, ‘di ba?

Eh, ‘pag sumasapit ang New Year, birthday na namin ng January 2, kaya sasamantalahin na namin ang aming ilusyon. He-he-he-he.

Sa lahat ng naging bahagi ng aming nakaraan, mapait man ito o shocking, keri lang. Bahagi ‘yan ng buhay habang ikaw ay nabubuhay. At sa mga darating pa, sana, Lord, ‘yung kaya ko lang nang bonggang-bongga, ha?

At sa mga darating na good vibes, positive things, ma-fulfill ang dreams namin, mangyari ‘yung ipinagdarasal namin, ay… kaya ko ‘yan, kukunin ko ‘yan, promise! Akin ‘yan!

‘Yan ang attitude namin ngayon sa buhay.

Ito ay nilinaw ng E-Live sa kanila. Ayon kay Lara, engagement lang ang nangyari.

Ah, gano’n ba? ‘Eto, meron naman kaming isang source. Hayaan nating i-quote siya, ha?

“Actually, ang kanilang kasal ay nu’ng January 1 pala. Secret wedding talaga, nagpa-reserve sila sa Opus Hotel Vancouver under the name ng Tita ni Lara, si Tita Lulu.

Ang wedding ay ginanap sa Opus 1 at ang reception ay sa Opus 2… only 20 guest were allowed, ayaw pa nga nilang maglagay sa lobby ng name para for the direction ng guest kung saan pupunta.

Pero naglagay din sila ng sign ng M and L wedding. Ang start ng wedding I think 4 to 6 pm. Naka-reserve under the name of Lourdes Tensuan sa hotel.”

Ibinigay pa sa amin ang phone numbers ng hotel kung gusto raw naming i-verify. Pero totoo man ito o hindi, ang alam namin, nasa Vancouver ang dalawa.

At kung kasalan man ang naganap doon, congrats and best wishes! Ang next question ngayon: buntis na ba si Lara?

Alfred Vargas, Balik Kapamilya sa Teleseryeng 'Mutya' with Lara Quigaman!

Nagpapayat ngayon si Alfred Vargas na kalilipat lang sa Kapamilya Network matapos ang ilan taon niyang pananatili bilang isang Kapuso. Medyo nananaba kasi siya habang kasagsagan ng kampanya noong nakaraang eleksyon.

Dapat ay kasama siya sa bagong serye ni Marian Rivera sa GMA7 na "Amaya" pero tinanggihan ito ng kanyang manager na si Lolit Solis at pinili ang offer ng ABS-CBN ma "Mutya" dahil hindi pipitsugin ang kanyang character dito.

Hindi pa nagsisimula ang teleseryeng "Mutya" kaya mapaghahandaan pa niya ito. Malusog kasi ang pangangatawan niya noong Trade Launch at mukha namang kakayanin para sa pagsisimula nito next year.

Precious Lara Quigaman OUT na naman sa wowowee dahil cost-cutting daw ang wowowee ngayon at dahil kay Marco Alcaraz?!

MANILA - Precious Lara Quigaman was supposed to make a comeback on “Wowowee” before she was pulled out again.

The rumored reason for this was her relationship with actor-model Marco Alcaraz. There were rumors that “Wowowee” host Willie Revillame was courting Quigaman, but these were quickly dismissed.

During the thanksgiving dinner for “May Bukas Pa,” Quigaman revealed to ABS-CBN.com why her comeback did not push through.

“Hindi naman siguro sila (Wowowee) ganoon kababaw para i-base nila ‘yong kapasidad ng isang tao dahil lang may boyfriend siya o may dine-date.

“Ang sabi talaga sa akin babalik na ako as regular host. Inayos na nga ‘yong papers ko kasi dapat kasama ako sa show nila sa Lake Tahoe yata. Na-sad talaga ako n'ong sinabi nila sa akin na hindi na matutuloy. Pero ang sabi nila sa akin cost cutting daw ang Wowowee ngayon. I understand naman.”

Quigaman admitted that she is dating Alcaraz, who she met through common friend Valerie Concepcion.

“We’re friends. And yes, we go out. Wala naman akong dapat itago. Single naman kami pareho. But also I’m not rushing into a serious relationship. Very recent lang ‘yong breakup ko with my last boyfriend, four months ago. Three years naging kami. Ngayon, I take my time. Hindi na ako bata para maglaro pa ng mga ganitong bagay,” she said.

She added that she is the type of woman who takes every relationship very seriously.

“Para sa akin kapag pumapasok ako sa isang relationship umaasa ako na sa kasalan na ang tuloy. ‘Yong last boyfriend umasa rin ako na kami na talaga. Hindi rin naman ako nakikipag-boyfriend kung alam kong walang pupuntahan ‘yong relationship,” she said.

The former Miss International also revealed her impressions of Alcaraz.

“So far naman I find him nice. Dati kasi maraming nagdi-discourage sa akin, may mga sinasabing bad about him. Pero ngayon nakikita ko naman sa kanya na hindi totoo ‘yon.”

She revealed that Alcaraz has already met her mom but the elder Quigaman is still a bit apprehensive about her new suitor.

“One time nga naipit ako sa work so si Marco pa ‘yong naghatid sa mom ko sa airport. Gan’on ka-sweet si Marco. Pero alam mo naman ang typical na mother, laging ‘no one is good enough for your daughter.’ May fear siya na dahil artista si Marco babaero. Mga gan’on lang pero okay naman sila.”

When asked if she sees a good future with Alcaraz, the “May Bukas Pa” star jokingly answered: “Lagi namang may bukas pa! (Laughs) Sa ngayon, siya lang naman ang dine-date ko.” -Napoleon Quintos, ABS-CBN.com

Precious Lara Quigaman at Marco Alcaraz spotted on CamSur!

A reliable source informed me that Marco Alcaraz and Precious Lara Quigaman were seen together last July 5 at the Lago del Rey Resort in Pili, Camarines Sur.

According to witnesses, the former collegiate basketball player and the beauty queen showed extreme level of sweetness together, as if they are already in a relationship. Marco earlier impliedduring the press conference of his upcoming movie, Pitik-Bulag that they were just in the courting stage though neither affirmation nor denial was made on his part.

I am happy that Lara has moved on from her recent break-up.
