ABC's soap operas 'All My Children' & 'One Life to Live' to go Online!

'All My Children' and 'One Life to Live' will continue beyond their final ABC airdates, as previously reported. The soaps are heading online with a new multi-year and multi-platform deal with Prospect Park.
"'All My Children' and 'One Life to Live' are iconic pieces of television history that captivated millions of fans since their beginning over 40 years ago," ABC's head of daytime Brian Frons said in a statement. "Each of the shows have made an indelible mark on our culture's history and informed our consciousness in their own way. We are so glad Prospect Park has assumed the mantel for these shows and that they will continue for the fans."
Under the new deal, the two soaps will live online and will be accessible via any Internet-enabled device. They'll be the same length and format, and, according to the press release, the same quality.

The driving force in making the switch and attracting new audiences is to have outstanding programs that people want to watch. We believe that by continuing to produce the shows in their current hour format and with the same quality, viewers will follow the show to our new, online network."

ABC is replacing 'All My Children' with 'The Chew' starting late September. The food and lifestyle program comes from veteran Food Network producer Gordon Elliot ('Paula Deen's Home Cooking,' 'Down Home With the Neelys') and will focus on every aspect of food.
The one-hour series will be hosted by Mario Batali, 'What Not to Wear' stylist Clinton Kelly, 'Top Chef' veteran Carla Hall, 'Iron Chef America' star Michael Symon and nutrition expert Daphne Oz.
When 'One Life to Live' leaves ABC in January, it'll be replaced by 'The Revolution,' a new healthy living/weight-loss series. Tim Gunn headlines the series with 'American Idol' contestant Kimberly Locke and fitness trainer Harley Pasternak alongside. The three regulars will be joined contributors to help transform people's lives.

ABS-CBN to launch & revamp 2 new channels on TFC: Cinema One Global & BRO Channel!

GREAT NEWS to all our TFC Subscribers and Filipinos abroad. TFC (The Filipino Channel), ABS-CBN Global, and ABS-CBN will be launching 2 new channels into a higher level.
ABS-CBN have currently 6 channels globally: TFC, ANC, Cinema One, Kapamilya Channel, DWRR (101.9 radio), DZMM, and MYX. While, GMA-7 have 3 channels: GMA Pinoy TV, GEM NET Network, and GMA Life TV.
This July 10, 2011 Sunday, ABS-CBN is revamping and launching 2 channels abroad. From old name Cinema One now it will becomes 'Cinema One Global' with new logo (look image above). Also, instead of airing old Filipino movies in Cinema One...

The new chat design includes a sidebar that lists the people you message most. Now it's easier to find your friends and start a conversation. The sidebar adjusts with the size of your browser window, and it automatically appears when the window is wide enough.
Create a Group Chat Instantly
We're also launching multi-person chat, which is one of our most requested features. Now when your friends can't figure out what movie to see, you can just add them to a chat and decide together. To include more friends in your conversation, simply select Add Friends to Chat.
And just like your other chats, the history of your conversation is available in messages.

Video chat has been around for years now, but it's still not an everyday activity for most people. Sometimes it's too difficult to set up, or the friends you want to talk to are on different services.

NY TIMES: South Korea to host 2018 Winter Olympics!

The Winter Olympics were awarded for the first time to South Korea on Wednesday as the city of Pyeongchang was named as host of the 2018 Games.
Pyeongchang had been a persistent candidate after finishing second to Vancouver in voting for the 2010 Games and to Sochi, Russia, for the 2014 Olympics. It had built its candidacy for 2018 on a proposal to expand winter sports in the lucrative Asian market.
The South Korean city won on the first ballot of a secret vote of delegates of the International Olympic Committee, prevailing over Munich and Annecy, France. Voting took place at a general assembly of the I.O.C. in Durban, South Africa.
Pyeongchang will be the third Asian city to host the Winter Games, after Sapporo, Japan, in 1972 and Nagano, Japan in 1998. Its budget for 2018 was far more extravagant than the other bids — $1.5 billion for the actual Games and $2 billion to $6 billion for infrastructure projects, according to news reports, as Pyeongchang seeks to become a winter sports hub.
The South Korean candidacy also enjoyed widespread public support, which the I.O.C. considers an important factor. Its compact plan to have all events within a 30-minute drive apparently was also appealing. And the Olympic delegates seemingly were swayed by the fact that South Korea’s president, Lee Myung-bak, traveled to Durban to make a personal pitch for the 2018 Games.
But the most persuasive factor in Pyeongchang’s bid may have been the chance to further expand the popularity of winter sports in a populous, financially lucrative region. Pyeongchang is located about 100 miles east of Seoul, which hosted the 1988 Summer Games.
The I.O.C. commission that evaluated the candidate cities said in its pre-vote report that placing the 2018 Games in South Korea would “be significant to further develop winter sports in Asia.”
In a final pitch to I.O.C. delegates on Wednesday, Pyeongchang’s bid leaders displayed a map showing that 19 of the previous 21 Winter Games had been held in Europe and North America, suggesting it was time to give Asia another chance. Wednesday’s vote was in keeping with recent attempts by the Olympics and the soccer World Cup to bring their events to places where they had not been previously held.
South Korea has shown its ability to organize major international sporting events over the past two decades. Seoul hosted the 1988 Summer Olympics. And South Korea co-hosted along with Japan the 2002 World Cup. Daegu, South Korea, will host the world track and field championships next month.
Lee, speaking in English, told I.O.C. delegates ahead of Wednesday’s vote, according to The Associated Press, that “Korea wants to give back to the Olympic movement and the world. Pyeongchang 2018 is a national priority of the Korean government and has been for the last 10 years. I guarantee you the full and unconditional support of the Korean government. We worked hard; we’ll make you proud.”

America’s most infamous mom dropped that bombshell on inmate pals while on trial for the brutal slaying of her adorable 2-year-old daughter Caylee.
In an incredible new twist in the case that has gripped America, insiders at Orlando’s Orange County Jail say the hard-partying 25-year-old is saying she’s having a baby, in the belief that that may save her from the death penalty.
What’s more, twisted Casey claims a new child will help heal the hole left in her heart by Caylee’s death.
“The creepy thing is how Casey wants another sweet little girl to make up for dear Caylee,” says a prison insider. “She’s making a big deal about being a few weeks pregnant, but only among a few people close to her in the jailhouse.
“She still isn’t showing, but she says the pregnancy is in the very early stages and is hoping to start showing soon so the people in the courtroom will notice.
“Months ago, Casey told her jailhouse friends that she wanted to get pregnant – and recently said she missed her period. Then she said she was starting to get feelings in her body that reminded her of when she was in the early stages of carrying Caylee. Soon after missing her period, Casey started getting sick – throwing up in the morning. She said that all this convinced her she was pregnant.”
While it wasn’t easy, Casey told pals she found opportunities to have sex behind bars, say sources.
There’s also another chilling possibility.
“Casey could be lying about being pregnant just to get attention,” explained the insider. “It is her nature, and her motive would be to play an emotional card with the jury, which might feel sorry enough not to

“Is it another Casey fantasy or is it true? Only time will tell.”
Casey’s behavior led to a surprise two-day hearing on June 25 and 26 to determine if she was competent enough for the trial to continue.

And with the case in the hands of the jurors, the fate of Casey rests on their interpretation of emotional witnesses coupled with circumstantial evidence to render a verdict.

Kylie Minogue's concert last night (July 5, 2011 Tuesday) in Manila, Philippines at Araneta Coliseum was packed with a lot of Pinoy celebrity stars and that includes the very beautiful Anne Curtis. :) She even rode the MRT (Metro Rail Transit)- a rapid transit system in Manila just not to be late for the concert because of heavy traffic.

Kylie Minogue's concert last night (July 5, 2011 Tuesday) in Manila, Philippines at Araneta Coliseum was packed with a lot of Pinoy celebrity stars and that includes the very beautiful Anne Curtis. :) She even rode the MRT (Metro Rail Transit)- a rapid transit system in Manila just not to be late for the concert because of heavy traffic.

Hindi totoo ang bali-balitang aalisin na sa ere ang Andres de Saya na pinagbibidahan nila Cesar Montano at Iza Calzado.
Ililipat lang ito sa iniwang timeslot ng Show Me Da Manny kung saan ay kagabi na ang airing ng final episode.
Ang iiwan namang slot ng Andres de Saya ang siyang paglalagyan ng bagong show ni Cong. Manny Pacquiao na Manny Many Prizes kung saan makakasama niya dito sina Rhian Ramos, Isabelle Daza, at ang mga co-stars niya sa Show Me Da Manny na sina Onyok Velasco, Gladys Guevarra at Paolo Contis.

Kanina lang ng umaga July 5, 2011 (MNL time), Heart Evangelista's twitter account (username: @heart021485) was said HACKED. Heart's fans club na 'Heart World' on Twitter (username: @HeartWorld) first confirmed sa kanilang mga twitter followers at sa amin na talagang na hacked daw ang account ni Heart. Ito ang sabi nila: "We would like inform you guys that Heart Evangelista's twitter account has been hacked. Any tweets from @heart021485 is not basically from her... Please RT." may kasunod na: "Heart (@heart021485) Twitter got hacked.We called her and she's in the mall right now shopping..Please beware.."
UPDATE 7/6/11: Ang Twitter account ni Heart ay now 'protected'. People she 'accepted the request' can only view and read her tweets publicly. If you're not following her yet, you have to send her request. If you're following her already before, you can still and view her account publicly.

After 30 minutes or so, tinanggal na ang mga tweets na galing daw sa hacker.
OUR THOUGHTS: Kung napapansin ninyo ang gamit sa pag tweet ay via Twitter for iPhone. So pwedeng si Heart ang nag tweet niyon. Pero ang sabi naman ng Heart World: "One more thing Heart is not using iPhone to tweet coz her twitter doesn't work there.If you will notice the recent tweets were posted using iPhone..Heart uses web to tweet..FYI!" Okay nag gets namin sila dyan. Pero, we searched Heart's old tweets at na discovered namin na si Heart are using BOTH 'web' and 'Twitter for iPhone'. Pwedeng ginagamit ni Heart ang 'web' pag nasa bahay siya or sa taping at 'Twitter for iPhone' naman pag nasa labas siya at hindi niya madadala ang laptop niya or whatever she use.Take note, na kapag send pa nga mga ilang tweets at photos sa Twitter si Heart gamit ang' Twitter for iPhone' niya so paanong naging hindi gumagana ang Twitter niya? At paanong hindi gumagana ang Twitter niya daw sa kanyang iPhone eh kung halos millions of people have an iPhone can use it efficiently?! We do have an iPhone at alam namin kung paano at ito ay gumagana sa amin. Kung app naman ang paguusapan. Heart is using official application ng Twitter sa iPhone. It should work fine. diba?! Sabi naman ng Heart World nasa mall daw si Heart that time. So, pwede ngang gamit ni Heart ang iPhone niya sa pag tweet via 'Twitter for iPhone'. About sa Jejemon issue, pag nag type ka sa iPhone mo hindi mo maiiwasan ang mag short ka ng mga words kasi mahirap din mag type lalo na may auto correction ang lahat ng iPhone at lalo na pag tagalog ang salita na tinatype mo kaya hindi maiiwasan ang pag short ng words or pag ka Jejemon. Kung si Heart or hacker daw ba yun, bahala na siya. :) Take note, soyal ang hacker na yan dahil may iPhone heheh :) At eto pa sabi ng boyfriend ni Heart na si Daniel Matsunaga na nasa bahay daw sila all day pero sabi naman ng Heart World ay nasa mall si Heart?!?! At paano natawagan ng Heart World si Heart eh kung hindi nga daw naka roaming ang iPhone ni Heart?! Pwedeng makagamit si Heart ng wireless internet or wifi sa kanyang hotel sa Brazil. Gulo noh!
Well, as of now wala paring official 'tweet' si Heart tungkol dito. Maybe they just want to cover up the issue. :)

Nasaan Ka Elisa? will most not likely to premieres on July 11, 2011. Yes, we said it. NOT! (AGAIN?!)
Last week, we wrote an article that Nasaan Ka Elisa? is set to premieres on July 11. CLICK HERE to view the original post. But, seems like it's not happening soon (not just yet). No TV ads, no guesting, no promos or whatsoever last week, weekend, and this week. Kaya isa lang ang ibig sabihin lang niyan, hindi pa sila ipapalabas. :(
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN's new koreanovela 'Pure Love (49 days)' will premieres on July 11 10:45pm. Ito ang ipapalit sa Koreanovelang 'I am Legend' na magtatapos this week (July 8) sa Primetime Bida.
Take note: mukhang mauuna pang ipalabas ang Reputasyon ni Cristine Reyes dahil ito ay nakatakda ng ipalabas ngayong July 2011.

THOUGHTS: Hindi na bago ang 'pagpatay' issue sa mga artista sa teleserye ng ABS-CBN at sa ibang istasyon. Minsan kailangan nila baguhin ang scripts at takbo ng istorya to accommodate them. Sa situation ni Andi, mukha at pwede siyang 'mamatay' sa Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin (kung babaguhin ng writers at directors ang situations at scripts) to give away at her pregnancy (Remember: Safety and Health first!). Mahirap na kung may masamang mangyari kay Andi habang gumagawa at nag taping siya ng action scenes. It will be so sad :(. Pero, ayon sa nasagap na balita na ang Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin will most likely and set to ends by this August-September 2011 at nakatakdang ipalit nga dito ang Pinoy Big Brother 4 Unlimited. By that time, 5 months or so ng buntis si Andi kaya siguradong medyo malaki na ang kanyang tiyan. Last June 30, Mr. Biboy Arboleda released an official statement na naglalahad na Andi will stay on MLKI at kasama parin siya sa programa. Abangan na lang natin siya. Best wishes to Andi. Andi is cast in an ABS-CBN teledrama who plays a military officer caught between a man she’s deeply in love with, and a man whom she would never want to end up with. Inaasahan na ang “pagpatay” sa karakter ni Andi who has to face a real-life situation: such character disappearance na hindi na bago sa naturang istasyon.
In recent memory, nag-buena mano si Denise Laurel in Kristine who played older sister to Cristine Reyes. Para ma-justify ang pagkawala ni Denise, the story had her pursuing a business course in the States para sa kanyang pagbabalik ay maayos niyang mapamumunuan ang negos-yong ipinagkatiwala ng kanilang lolo.
Of course, Denise never came back, neither with a diploma nor diplomacy with the way she had to deal with her greedy aunt. Dahil ang matunog ngang balita noon, buntis ang hitad. At nito lang namin nabalitaan that Denise reportedly gave birth in the States, in real life.
Now, both story and history seem to repeat themselves.
But unlike Andi’s case, her pregnant condition was bared by no less than her mom Jaclyn Jose. Heto ang isang ina na buong tapang na kinumpirmang nagdadalantao ang kanyang anak even sans reference to the guy who got her daughter pregnant. A mother who seeks compassion more than public judgment sa maaaring naging kapusukan o pagkakamali ng anak.
For now, let’s give it to Andi, but may she also learn that public property that she is, women her age look up to her as a role model, close to being perfect in this imperfect universe.
