“This Guy’s in Love With U Mare" hits P200 Million in 2 weeks!

Star Cinema’s wild comedy event of the year “This Guy’s in Love With U Mare,” topbilled by Toni Gonzaga, Luis Manzano and Vice Ganda, has ruled the local box office, raking P200 million in just two weeks.

With their fillm’s box-office success, the whole cast and director Wenn V. Deramas are grateful to all the moviegoers who have warmly supported them.

“Maraming salamat sa lahat,” said Direk Wenn. “Masayang-masaya kami dahil over ‘yung suporta ng tao sa movie namin bawat araw. Sobra kaming nag-enjoy noong ginagawa namin ito at talagang nagreflect naman ito sa pelikula pati sa mga manonood.”

Toni, meanwhile, is proud that she experienced an extra-ordinary ‘first time’ through “This Guy’s In Love With You, Mare.” The actress related, “Natutuwa ako kasi first time kong ma-experince yung ganung outcome ng movie ever in my life. Syempre grateful kami sa sumuporta, nanood at naniwala sa peliuklang ito.”

Aside from the huge success of their comedy flick, Luis shared that he will never forget how he personally witnessed the great talent of his friends while doing their first project together. “Noong sinimulan namin ang ‘This Guy’s In Love With You, Mare,’ kaibigan lang ako nina Toni at Vice. But we ended this movie na naging fan ako nina Toni at Vice,” the TV host-actor said.

Vice, on the other hand, dedicates to God his latest box-office victory. “Thank you talaga kay Lord. Alam ko kasing napunta ako sa mahusay na team kaya alam kong magiging maganda ang kalalabasan ng pelikula namin,” Vice said. “Isa ito sa mga nagawa kong project na wala akong naramdamang stress kaya hindi nakapagtatakang mauulit ito.”

The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin premieres on Cinema One this August 26, Sunday!

Homes will be filled with nonstop laughter as the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, “The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin”, premieres on Cinema One’s Blockbuster Sunday movie block on August 26 (Sunday) at 8 p.m.

Directed by acclaimed comedy film director, Wenn Deramas and starred by Vice Ganda, the film depicts the life and struggle of Benjamin “Benjie” Santos VIII as he enters the military service to save his grandfather, General Benjamin Santos VI (Eddie Garcia) when a civil war breaks out in the Philippines. Even though he is openly-gay, Benjie will try to hide it to prove that he is as brave as his ancestors. However, his secret will be revealed and he will be kicked out of the academy but it won’t stop Private Benjie from fulfilling the duties of a real soldier.

“The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin” is the second starring film of comedian-host Vice Ganda. He felt that the film will be an instant hit to viewers but didn’t expect that it would gross P330 million.

The movie will be directed by box-office director Wenn V. Deramas and is set for an October 2012 release.

The story is about a love triangle among the three main stars, but details weren’t given out yet.

“Isipin na lang natin na kumbaga sa Facebook, it’s very complicated,” Luis told the media after the story conference.

“May magkaka-in-love-an, may mag-aaway, may magkakainisan, may magkaka-develop-an,” Toni added regarding how the story would go.

Wenn was the same director who helmed Vice Ganda’s previous hits – 2010’s Petrang Kabayo and last year’s The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin. Was there an expectation for the movie to surpass what Praybeyt Benjamin raked in during its run?

“Hindi namin ineexpect na blockbuster,” Vice Ganda said. “Kini-claim na namin. katulad no’ng pag-claim namin sa [success ng] Praybeyt Benjamin."

With regards to the billing, the three big stars and even the director couldn’t answer the question about who will be on top. Wenn just safely said that the billing is in the hands of the producers.

"IT'S SHOWTIME" ang bagong noontime show ng ABS-CBN na nakatakdang ipalit sa Happy Yipee Yehey- na magpapaalam na ngayong February 4 Sabado. Tulad ng amin inaasahan, ito ang magiging revamp ng 'Showtime '(talent show) pero this time ito ay magiging VARIETY show na with new studio, games, concept, gimmicks, atbp.


Ang inyong Showtime family na sina Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis, Vice Ganda, Jugs & Teddy, Kuya Kim Atienza, Billy Crawford, at Karylle parin ang makakasama ninyo. May nadagdagan lang na sina Coleen Garcia, Ryan Bang at Jhong Hilario na parehong malalapit sa Showtime family at sa mga Madlang people.

Nung huling Sabado January 28, ginanap ng Showtime ang kanilang Thank you episode. Para pasalamatan, muling ipakita, at bigyang tanaw ang mga nangyari sa kanilang show for the last 2 years as a Talent show kasama na dyan ang naging Hurados nila, International trips (California and Dubai), mga grand winners (XB Gensan, etc.), mga madlang people, at marami pang iba.



Makakasama ninyo na ang "It's Showtime" simula ngayong Lunes February 6, 2012 12nn on ABS-CBN.
