Ang ina ng Pinoy Soap Opera na Mara Clara (2010) is nominated under the division of 'The Fiction Rockies' in the category of 'SOAP OPERAS AND TELENOVELAS' at 2011 BANFF World Media Festival- one of the important international media events in Canada. 


The Fiction Rockies ceremony was held last Sunday, June 12, 2011 at AOL Canada theater and hosted by Entertainment Tonight Canada Hollywood Correspondent Matte Babel.


Unfortunately, hindi nakuha ng Mara Clara (ABS-CBN Philippines) ang Best Soap Operas and Telenovelas.

Kathryn Bernardo dating Diego Loyzaga?! Kathryn: Diego is a friend.

Are Kathryn Bernardo and Diego Loyzaga, stars of the just-concluded drama series 'Mara Clara' dating?

Kathryn denied speculations, saying that she and Diego are just friends.

"Wala namang something kase nga close namankami ni Diego dahil sa Mara Clara. Pero wala naming something na nangyayari kase hindi naman talaga sya nangliligaw sa'kin eh," Kathryn said in an interview with "Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN)" on Friday, June 10.

Kathryn and Diego are schoolmates in OB Montessori in Greenhills.  She said  they became more comfortable with each other as their taping of "Mara Clara" progressed. "Nung start ng Mara Clara, aminin natin, na syempre nung una talaga ilang pa kami sa isa't isa. Pero kase since everyday kami, magkasama, nadedevelop yung friendship naming pero yun lang, friends lang talaga kami, super close kami," Kathryn said.

The pair was rumored to be dating when they were spotted together in a restaurant. But, Kathryn said it  was just a casual dine-out together with the other members of the cast.

"Nagkayayaan lang po. Tri-neat kami ni Diego sa restaurant ng Daddy nya. Group date lang naman as friends lang yun. Parang bonding session lang namin," Kathryn said.

Asked who she likes more between Diego and Albie Casino, her co-stars in "Mara Clara,"  Kathryn said  Albie is like a big brother to her, while Diego is a friend. "Si Albie more on kuyatype po sa amin ni Julia, pati ni Diego, kasi nga sya yung pinakamatanda sa amin. Pero si Diego, magkasing-age kasi kami so mas nakaka-relate ako sa kanya," Kathryn shared.

Kathryn, Diego, Albie and Julia Montes are set to work together again for a teen-oriented TV program. For now, Kathryn and Diego are just happy to be working together as friends.

"Parang nadevelop talaga yung friendship naming apat, parang magbabarkada kami. Pag sa set, sobrang ingay naming," Kathryn said.

Kathryn Bernardo ang bagong bibida sa ABS-CBN upcoming remake 'Esperanza'?!

After a successful remake ng 'Mara Clara' at 'Mula sa Puso', may plano diumano ulit ang ABS-CBN na mag remake ng isa pang dekalibreng soap opera at ito ang 'Esperanza' na ginampanan noon ni Ms. Judy Ann Santos. It was aired on ABS-CBN and Televisa in 1997 to 1999.

Hindi lang yan dahil posibleng si Kathryn Bernardo ang mag reprise ng character ni Ms. Judy Ann Santos sa upcoming remake ng 'Esperanza'.

Tinanong si Kathryn during the Mara Clara thanksgiving presscon at ang reaction niya ay "Kung sakaling ibigay po sa akin ang Esperanza, sobrang laking project po nun lalo. Wow!"

Wala pang formal na annoucement na nagaganap. Abangan na lang natin yan! exciting! :)

ABS-CBN's remake 'Mara Clara' ay magtatapos na this June 2011. 2 WEEKS or Dalawang linggo  na lang ang itatagal ng Mara Clara sa ABS-CBN Primetime Bida. Nagsimula ang successful remake ng Mara Clara noong October 25, 2011 at ito ay nakatakdang magtapos ngayong June 06, 2011 (final date set). We are a fan and we do watch Mara Clara at sad to hear na magtatapos na nga ito. :(

We got a news na mag lalabas ang management ng teaser and promotion pag nasa last two weeks na nga ang programa. Also, ang main casts ng Mara Clara will be in ASAP Rocks, Happy Yipee Yehey, E Live, The Buzz and many more pag nasa last week airing na sila.

UPDATE 5/20: Naglabas na ang ABS-CBN pagkatapos ng 5/20 episode ng Mara Clara na 2 weeks na lang ito kaya lalo ninyo talaga dapat ito abangan.

Ang Ina ng Pinoy Soap Opera na 'Mara Clara' (remake) is now invading the WORLD with a prestigious nomination from 2011 BANFF World Media Festival- one of the important international media events in Canada.
Mara Clara (ABS-CBN) is the one and only nominee from Philippines. YAY! BANFF will have a three special Rockies award ceremonies: The Fiction Rockies, Non-Fiction Rockies, and The Interactive Rockies.

Diego Loyzaga (Derrick) hospitalized due of dengue!

Diego Loyzaga, playing the role of Derrick on Mara Clara, was hospitalized due to dengue fever. Last Sunday, Diego was reportedly rushed to the hospital by his aunt Bing Loyzaga, and cousin, Alyssa Gibbs.

“My bunsong alaga Diego Loyzaga has Dengue. He’s confined now, his Tita Bing Loyzaga and cousin Alyssa brought him there. Doc said maagapan ang sakit. Get well soon Diego,” his manager Biboy Arboleda tweeted.

Diego Loyzaga checked out of the hospital Thursday morning, April 14.
