Sharing his knowledge and insights with the proteges from Mindanao is drama and action film legend Phillip Salvador.  His four proteges are David John Llanas, Ruru Madrid, Apple Vega and Steffi Pacheco.

Acting as mentor for the proteges in the Visayas is multimedia icon Jolina Magdangal.  Her proteges include Bryan Benedict, Mikoy Morales, Mitch Capili and Zandra Summer.

Mentoring the proteges from Northern and Central Luzon is acclaimed actor and TV director Ricky Davao.  His four Proteges are Glenn Roy, Japs De Luna, Reese Tayag and Shelly Hipolito.

Guiding the Southern Luzon proteges is seasoned actress and TV director Gina Alajar.  Her proteges are Jeric Gonzales, Mykel Ong, Arny Ross and Thea Tolentino.

Coaching the four proteges in Mega Manila is multi-awarded actor Roderick Paulate.  His four proteges are Andres Vasquez, Vien Alen King, Elle Ramirez and Kelly D.

The toughest cuts have been made and all the beautiful faces with outstanding talents have already been picked.

What challenges await the aspirants inside the Protege Quarters?  What conflicts may arise among the celebrity mentors? Who will win this tough competition?

GMA-7's Protégé patterned and copied to NBC's 'The Voice' and 'The X Factor'! #RIPOFF

Hindi nakakuha ang GMA-7 Network ng exclusive "rights" sa The X-Factor ni Simon Cowell, produced by Fremantle Media North America, and Syco TV dahil sa kakulangan sa mga requirements at napakamahal daw ng franchise nito. (they can't afford.)

Kaya gumawa na lang ang GMA-7 Network ng kanilang sariling version. Ito ang Protégé: The Battle for the Big Break na same as US' American Idol (FOX), The X-Factor (FOX), and The Voice (NBC)- Naghahanap ng pinakamagaling Kumanta.

At wala na talagang 'originality' ang Kapuso network dahil kinopya at ginaya nila ang concept ng NBC's hit show The Voice na kakatapos lang ang Season 1 last May 2011.

Kung ang The Voice (NBC) ay 4 'coaches'- Cristina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine (Maroon 5's vocal singer), at Blake Shelton. Ang Protégé (GMA-7) naman ay may 10 'mentors'- Janno Gibbs, Jaya, Jay-R, Rachelle Ann Go, Aiza Seguerra, Joey Generoso (Side A), Imelda Papin, Claire dela Fuente, Rey Valera, and Gloc 9 na halos same as The Voice.

Ang kaibahan lang ay ginawa nilang 10 ang mentors/coaches para hindi mahalata at para sabihin nilang pinalaki at nilagayan lang ng twist para nga naman maiba ng konti. haha.

Hindi lang yan, dahil ginaya din nila ang 'rules' ng The X Factor na anyone can join and auditions. Kahit isa, dalawa, tatlo, or lima ka pa man ay maari kang sumali. Parang Pilipinas Got Talent man lang din. No age limit required at kahit ilan pwede sumali.

Anyway, ang Protégé: The Battle for the Big Break ay magsisimula about September 2011.
