Get your blood pressure checked, have a blood work up, and count your heartbeat for you are about to be blown away by the exciting premier of Extra Challenge on October 27, Saturday.

Every weekend, EXTRA CHALLENGE promises a pulse-racing, heart-stopping, and adreanline-pumping series as challengers are confronted with three challenges. In each challenge, they must place a wager from the initial capital of P100,000.00 that the program gives them. The challenger who completes the task fast enough earns EXTRA money. Those who allow fear to stop them from completing the challenge, lose whatever they wager. But the game gets better as the third and last challenge comes. All the challengers, regardless of their performance in the first two challenges, have the chance to take home the pot money if they succeed in conquering the third round. Excited yet?

Creepy crawlies, slimy creatures, towering heights, haunting expeditions, and extreme physical activities make up the challenges. No round is an easy one for every challenge will test the limits of the participants.

Extra special casting is made to give EXTRA CHALLENGE an extra edge. Richard Gutierrez, the face of reality and adventure show, and primetime queen Marian Rivera are reunited after the success of their team up in GMA Films' My Best Friend's Girlfriend. The viewers have already witnessed their on-screen chemistry--the same appeal displayed in their recent project together, Pinoy Adventures, which was also hosted by Richard.

"First hosting project ko ang EXTRA CHALLENGE at talaga namang excited ako. Kinakabahan ako siyempre ngayon ko lang 'to gagawin pero game ako sa kahit anong challenge. Magiging extra masaya ito, promise!," shares Marian.

Richard has loosen up a bit compared to his other hosting gigs, "Coming from Survivor where I come off as a very strict host, this time the viewers will see me get more relaxed especially with the challengers. But it doesn't mean the challenges will be less intense. This time, they're bigger and definitely better."

Joining the powerful tandem of Richard and Marian is public affairs TV personality and stand up comedian Boobay. With her natural comic self, each episode promises to be more fun and outrageous.

EXTRA CHALLENGE is going to dare you, scare you, make you cry, and make you laugh. Expect a roller coaster of emotions with grander sets, level-up adventures, shocking twists, and intensified intrigues and dramas.

Be extra ready on October 27, Saturday, only on GMA7.

Dingdong Dantes to host GMA-7 new artista search 'The Protégé'!

After I Heart You, Pare which has a tentative ending sometime in June, Dingdong Dantes has a new show lined up right away. He’ll go back to his hosting roots as the host of GMA 7′s upcoming reality artist search, The Protégé. I’m not sure when the latter will start but I think at the later date of June or early July.

Dingdong is a good choice for this project because he’s a very good host who doesn’t need to rely on too much practice and idiot boards. He’s very capable of casual bantering but with a lot of sense. He’s also perfect for this job coz he’s a good mentor to these aspiring talents. The award winning actor, dancer, endorser, humanitarian and ambassador to worthy causes, can very well impart his own experiences in the showbiz industry and how to handle the whole thing without losing their own identities. I reckon’ these are the reasons why GMA 7 picked him to host The Protégé.

Dingdong Dantes & Regine Velasquez's 'I ♥ You Pare' Premiers this February 7, 2011!

GMA brings the tandem of singer Regine Velasquez and heartthrob Dingdong Dantes to prime-time TV via the romantic comedy, I Heart You Pare whose story is reminiscent of the Nia Vardalos-Toni Collette film Connie and Carla about two singers hiding from the mob by pretending to be drag queens.

Set in the colorful world of Club Love, where drag queens rule, I Heart You Pare follows a girl who is pretending to be a gay man in order to hide after she witnessed a crime. The new show is set to premiere on Feb. 7, 9:30 p.m.

Dingdong denies blocking Marian Rivera & Richard Gutierrez Project!

Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes downplayed rumors that he hindered what would have been a Marian Rivera-Richard Gutierrez movie.

“Hindi totoo yun kasi, unang-una, hindi naman ako [ang] manager niya [Marian] eh. Saka kahit tanungin niyo siya, she never asked me. In all fairness to the issue, she never asked me about that.

“Desisyon nila yun, wala akong kinalaman. You can even ask her [about it],” the actor said in a taped interview aired on “Unang Hirit” last Jan. 27.

Recall that Marian and Richard first teamed up in 2008 on the blockbuster hit “My Best Friend’s Girlfriend.”

Talks on having a Marian-Richard movie for Valentine’s 2011 cropped up last year, but the idea was eventually shelved to make way for the trilogy movie “My Valentine Girls” where athe actorppears alongside Rhian Ramos, Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff and Eugene Domingo.

Dingdong maintained that he fully supports his girlfriend in all her showbiz and non-showbiz endeavors. He also proudly shared that Marian recently bought a car for herself, with him just providing recommendations and her deciding which model to acquire.

Asked for what seems to be the hundredth time if they’re going to tie the knot soon, Dingdong reiterated that their respective careers comes first as of the moment.

“Masyadong malaking tanong yun. We're taking things one step at a time. I mean, it's a big decision 'di ba? Ngayon, gawin muna lahat ng dapat gawin,” said he, adding that he is happy with their relationship.

Meanwhile, a separate report from “Tweetbiz” on Jan. 26 mentioned tabloid reports purporting that the couple is to wed two years from now. Dingdong apparently gave Marian a 3-carat diamond ring last December, and people are debating whether the ring was just a Christmas gift or an engagement ring.

According to the “Tweetbiz” paparazzi, Dingdong has refuted the engagement rumor.
