Rachelle Ann Go & Erik Santos topbill Disney's The Little Mermaid this Nov.8- Dec.11!

Atlantis Productions Inc. (Next to Normal, In The Heights) has just released one of its first promo artworks, which shows one of its lead stars, Rachelle Ann Go, posing as the little mermaid Ariel, her mid-torso resting on a bed of corals, and her synthetic fishtail flashing in the background, for its upcoming production of Disney's The Little Mermaid running from November 18 to December 11 at Meralco Theatre.

Atlantis' take on Disney's The Little Mermaid will mark the first international production of the Broadway musical, which opened at Lunt Fontanne Theatre in New York City three years ago, and played around 700 performances.

Go and fellow recording artist Erik Santos, who will play the role of Prince Eric, Ariel's one true love, will make their professional theater debuts via this production, which according to its directors, Bobby Garcia and Chari Arespacochaga, will also attempt to incorporate Asian puppetry into its virtual under-the-sea scenes.

Cecile Martinez is choreographer; Lex Marcos is set designer; Eric Pineda is costume designer; Jay Aranda is lighting designer; Liz and Benny Batoctoy, and Sam Fuentes are puppet designers; and Manman Angsico is vocal coach. The production is made possible through a special licensing agreement with Music Theatre International.

You can see clearly and it's so obvious that... the seats are EMPTY!!! From our estimates, there are only like and about 50- people in the PNE Forum to watch the Rachelle Ann Go and Cesar Montano GMA Pinoy TV show.


I guess the article and press release statement of Filipino Canadian Cultural Heritage Society of BC said it all:

"some 10%-15% are expected to grace the festivities, with various repre­sentative groups coming from the neigh­bouring cities of Kelowna, Kamloops, Vic­toria, Whistler, Squamish, Pemberton and from across the border in Seattle,WA."

Also, the Kapamilya artists John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, Vina Morales, Billy Crawford, K Brosas, and Jericho Rosales are on Canada for a TFC show 'One Kapamilya Go' Canada 2011 last July 23-24 which clearly affected the number of people in GMA Pinoy TV show.

Actress-host-beauty queen Bianca Manalo strongly belied accusations that she causes the splitsville of Melissa Ricks and Jake Cuenca and the recently rumored separation of Rachelle Ann Go and John Prats.

“Nirerespeto ko po kung anong relasyon meron sila. Kung may pinagdaanan po sila, labas na po ako dun, wala po akong kinalaman talaga…Ako po, bilang babae, ayaw ko po sanang mailagay sa ganyang klaseng isyu—na may third party,” Bianca said in an interview.

The 'Happy Yipee Yehey! co-host, who is obviously affected by the issue, appealed to her detractors to stop dragging her name in relationships she's not part of.

"Sana po i-out n’yo na ako dun. Kasi po, wala po talaga akong kinalaman doon.”

CONFIRMED: John Prats at Rachelle Ann Go naghiwalay na! Bianca Manalo ang 3rd party?!

Actor John Prats and singer Rachelle Ann Go have called it quits, Toni Gonzaga confirmed on “The Buzz” Sunday.

Gonzaga also said that, contrary to reports, Bianca Manalo is not involved in the split up.

“Ito ang pagkakaalam ko po, hiwalay na talaga for the longest time si Rachelle Ann Go at John Prats at hindi mag-on si John Prats at Bianca Manalo,” said Gonzaga.

Gonzaga, Prats and Manalo are all hosts of ABS-CBN's television program “Happy, Yipee, Yehey!”

Gonzaga added that “they are going out as a group, with ‘Happy, Yipee, Yehey!”

When asked if Prats is courting Manalo, Gonzaga, also a host of “The Buzz,” said: “I have a feeling [na nanliligaw] pero hindi naman nila kinukumpirma… Pero nararamdaman ko feel ni Prats si Bianca. Feel niya talaga kasi madalas siya sa dressing room nila.”

Manalo kept her distance from the issue, saying she and Prats are just friends.

“Wala naman akong kinalaman diyan. Magkaibigan kami, mag-kapamilya kami dito. Nire-respeto ko ang relasyon nilang dalawa. Kung nagkakalabuan, sa kanila na po ‘yon, wala po akong karapatang magsalita doon,” the beauty queen-turned-television host said.
