ABS-CBN Primetime Bida Programs ay Highest Ratings shows in Urban Luzon TV Ratings From July 19 to 25

ABS-CBN placed it’s 3 primetime series in the Top 30 highest-rating shows in Urban Luzon based from the overnight tv ratings of AGB Nielsen from the period July 19 to 25, 2009.

The Top 3 programs in the area were May Bukas Pa (#1), Tayong Dalawa (#2) and Only You (#3).

The highest-rating GMA show, on the other hand, was Zorro which settled on no. 4 slot followed by the leading news program 24 Oras.

The highest-rating weekday daytime program was Eat Bulaga! while the no. 1 last weekend was Kapuso Mo, Jessica Sojo. TV5’s Talentadong Pinoy is still the no. 1 game/competition program.

GMA-7 still leads in terms of household ratings and audience share over its nearest competitor, ABS-CBN. Household rating: GMA-7 (15.4 percent) vs. ABS-CBN (14.7 percent); Audience share: GMA-7 (37.5 percent) vs. ABS-CBN (35.7 percent).

GMA-7 had 15 shows in the Top 30 programs, while ABS-CBN had 14 and TV5 had one.

All roads lead to Island City Mall Carpark today, August 2, for the staging of the popular noon-time TV variety show, Wowowee, and the favorite TV game show, The Singing Bee, both from the Kapamilya network, ABS-CBN. TV host Willie Revillame is here to conduct the Willie of Fortune and Hep, Hep, Hooray in Wowowee, while Boholano multi-awarded actor/director Cesar Montano will host The Singing Bee where contestants in kids and adults categories will outdo each other by trying to remember the lyrics of the popular songs.

In Willie of Fortune, six people compete in pairs in rounds. A portion of the song is played, and the first to name the song correctly wins a point. If the player can correctly sing the exact lyrics from that portion of the song, another point is given.

Two points are needed to win the round.

Ten random participants will also get to play Hep, Hep, Hooray, dancing to Willie's "Igiling-giling." The objective of the game is to repeat the words "Hep" "Hep" "Hooray".

A co-host puts the microphone in front of a contestants face and they are supposed to say "Hep, Hep" while clapping their hands together below their waist, then a co-host will put the microphone to another contestant's face and they are to finish the cheer with saying "Hooray" and raising their hands in the air. If you make a mistake, you are out of this last-person-standing game.

A big throng of crowd is expected to mass up at the Island City Mall Carpark early this afternoon. The show starts at 5 PM, with opening numbers presented by ABS-CBN.

The "Singing Bee Na, Wowowee Pa" is a fitting tribute to the birthday of Cesar "Buboy" Montano yesterday, August 1, where he turned 47 years old. A bevy of celebrities and other showbiz personalities will also grace the twin event today which is free to the public.

Just A Few Hours Ago. Thursday in Kodak Theater in Hollywood. Jeanine was crowned as America's Favorite Dancer. Yesterday wednesday, America have only 2 hours to vote and in SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE history over 21.6 million votes came out. and just this thursday night. Jeanine is the winner.

Nigel Lythgoe, executive producer of "So You Think You Can Dance," predicted the finale would come down to Jeanine Mason or Brandon Bryant, both 19, whose strength and solos wowed the judges time and time again. He was right: Mason beat Bryant Thursday.

Wednesday's episode of "So You Think You Can Dance" closed with the pasodoble, a dance that mimics the moves of a matador and his cape. It was a fitting way to conclude a season that started with 20 dancers and ended with four who competed to become America's favorite dancer.

After the season's contestants reunited to perform a number from "The Wiz" and the judges' favorite routines, host Cat Deeley announced the first results from the 21.6 million votes called in by viewers Wednesday night.

Kayla Radomski was the first to go. Praised for her flawless technique, she never connected with the audience. Next to get cut: Evan Kasprzak, whose boyish charm made him a fan favorite early on. But the judges often criticized his skills and lack of improvement.

In the end, Mason -- whose wide smile and seductive moves often brought the crowd to their feet -- beat out Bryant, arguably the strongest male dancer both physically and technically. As only the second female to win the title in five seasons on Fox, Mason takes away $250,000 and a huge leap toward a brilliant career.

Cristine Reyes inked a 1 year contract with ABS-CBN last week. Prior to her renewal with the kapamilya network, Cristine announced that she plans to return to GMA. It was during the time when she had a conflict with her Banana Split co-stars.

ABS-CBN offered her a weekly drama anthology called “The Cristine Reyes Drama Special”, a primetime soap with working title “Bedspacer” and a starring role in a month-long episode of Your Song Presents.

ABS-CBN management also requested Cristine to reconcile with her Banana Split co-stars. The sexy actress responded positively and promised to talk things out with RR Enriquez, Angelica Panganiban, etc.

Men’s Health captures Gary as he rides the rough terrain in Sta. Elena, Laguna. After pedaling through the muddy trails, he smiles and says, “Ang sarap, I haven’t ridden on the trail in four or five months. I’m on knee therapy kasi I got injured while performing onstage and napabayaan ko for some time.”

In between his thrice-a-week gym sessions, he rides his bike and commutes to his tapings and recordings and back home, where he takes the Marikina riverside route.

For his fellow city bicycle riders, Gary has this tip: “Stick to the right side of the road… All it takes is one hit from the side mirror or wherever, and you end up on the ground on the fast lane. On the right, you can jump up a sidewalk.”
