Finally, kanina sa E-Live ay nangyari na ang paghaharap nina Mariel Rodriguez at Robin Padilla kung saan, isa-isa nilang sinagot ang mga intriga about their alleged relationship. Sa interview ay paulit-ulit na sinasabi ni Robin na hindi pa siya sinasagot ni Mariel, pero inamin ng dalawa na ang controversial diamond ring na suot ni Mariel (na napansin ni KC Concepcion when she guested on The Buzz) ay bigay ni Robin sa kanya. Gift lang daw ito from Robin, at hindi engagement ring. Hindi rin daw totoo ang kumakalat na balitang lihim na silang nagpakasal. Basta based sa usapan ng dalawa kanina, alam na alam mong super in love sila sa isa't isa. Lalo na si Robin na sa start ng interview ay hindi makatingin kay Mariel, "baka mahalikan kita eh!" ang naging dahilan niya when Mariel asked him. Sinabi rin ni Robin na si Mariel para sa kanya ay isang diamond, matibay at ang kinang ay forever. Kasabay din ito ng diretsahang pagpapahayag ng Idol ng Bayan na gusto niyang pakasalan ang E-Live host. Grabe ang kilig kanina! MANILA, Philippines – Dashing actor-host Robin Padilla has declared his love for rumored girlfriend and game show co-host, Mariel Rodriguez.

“Umaapaw ang pag-ibig sa puso ko,” said Padilla during his one-on-one interview with Rodriguez on ABS-CBN’s E-Live (Entertainment Live). Rodriguez is one of the hosts of the weekly entertainment program.

The studio audience was thrilled and happy for Rodriguez, particularly when she showed the diamond ring given by Padilla.

“Bakit mo sa akin ito ibinigay?” asked Rodriguez, who also co-hosts Pilipinas Win na Win with Padilla.
“Ngayon lang ako nagbigay. Di pa ako nagbigay kailanman. Napaka-espesyal n’yan,” replied Padilla.
More cheers were heard when Padilla slipped the ring on Rodriguez’ finger and the wedding issue was discussed.

“Yung sinasabing kasal hindi namin itinatago iyun. At kung papayag kang pakasalan ako?” he said.
Rodriguez was teary-eyed during the entire interview and after hearing Padilla’s sweet words.

“Ako, hindi ako nagsisinungalin. Sagutin mo ako, [o] hindi, itago mo yang singsing. Anumang mangyari, itago mo iyan. Sa iyo iyan. Hindi ako nagsinungaling sa iyo Mariel, mahal kita,” he confessed.

Padilla said he won’t be able to return immediately to Pilipinas Win na Win after the Ramadan break because he and Rodriguez will have to start shooting their movie together.

Anne Curtis admits that she is a frustrated singer

Anne Curtis admits that she has one frustration: singing. "Yung dancing and acting, siyempre sanay na ako dun. Yungkasi frustrated talent ko yan, e. It is something I love to do, hindi man ako blessed with the voice of Sarah Geronimo or Regine Velasquez or Rachelle Ann Go. Tingin ko naman I can carry a tune,” Anne remarked while laughing.  

ABS-CBN.com asked her if she dreams of having an album and she joked that she has been waiting for it a long time ago. "Matagal ko nang sinasabi sa Viva Records yun, thirteen years na ako sa kanila hindi pa din nila ako binibigyan kaya nananawagan po ako sa ibang mga record companies, I am ready," she joked.

"I think more than anything kasi hindi ko siya kina-career as a career, everyone knows that when I am singing it is for fun and it is something I love to do and tanggap naman [ng mga kapwa ko artista]. Natutuwa sila sa mga pagkanta-kanta ko."

Meanwhile, during the same interview, Anne expressed how thankful she is for the blessings that came into her life since she became a Kapamilya. She the recalled the times wherein she wanted to quit showbiz and go back to her hometown in Australia. "Yung time na wala akong work, so iniisip ko itutuloy ko pa ba ito or uuwi na lang ba akong Australia to finish my studies there pero na-bless ako lumipat ako sa ABS-CBN and after that never na ako nawalan ng work."

All the blessings started from her first major project in ABS-CBN's Hiram. "Nung in-offer sa akin yung teleserye na Hiram which was a big and major project ng ABS-CBN because it was Kris Aquino and Dina Bonnevie and Heart Evangelista and Geoff Eigenmann. It was my first mature kontrabida role. So tinanggap ko yun, from then on binigyan na ako ng sariling teleserye, nag-Kampanerang Kuba ako after that kaya I believe that blessings are given to those who wait patiently.” singing

After much speculation these past two weeks, Mariel Rodriguez finally confirmed that Robin Padilla gave her a diamond ring worth 1.2 million pesos and even brought it on the set for him to put on her ring finger during her special birthday celebration on Entertainment Live yesterday, August 7. “When he gave me the ring he told me it was because he wanted me to remember him always,” said Mariel who shed tears of joy.

Robin further shared why he gave such an expensive gift to her. “Hindi ako kailanman nagbigay ng [singsing sa isang babae]. Napakaespesyal niyan. Naniniwala kasi ako na diamonds are forever. Parangka sa akin. Dapat ka pangalagaan at kailanman ay ‘di kukupas ang iyong kinang. Ang gusto ko lang pangalagaan mo ‘yan. Lagi mo isuot kasi may pagkakataon na ‘di mo sinusuot,” he told Mariel.

But contrary to the recent reports that they already got married, the action star was quick to clarify that they are not even an official couple yet. “Hindi po ibig sabihin nito ay sinagot na ako ni Mariel. Wala namang regalo na hindi tinatanggap. Pangit naman yung may nagregalo sa ’yo tapos ‘di mo tinanggap. Alam ni’yo, ‘pag nangyari yung magandang sinasabi na kasal, hindi namin itatago yunat [yun pa ay] kung papayag [siyang] pakasalan ako.”

Mariel also got the chance to ask Robin about his divorce from his wife of 20 years Liezl Sicangco. Apparently, he thought he would never fall in love again after their split two years ago. “Wala akong hinahangad kay Snow White kundi ang kaligayahan niya. Dahil ‘pag nagmahal tayo, dapat yung kaligayahan ng tao ang pinakaimportante sa lahat. At ‘pag alam natin na ‘di siya maligaya sa ’yo, para saan pa? Ang pagsasama naming dalawa ay nabalot ng magandang alaala at kailanman ay magiging matamis ang alaala na yun.”

But he admitted that he never felt the same way again when he and Mariel first worked together in Wowowee. As a matter of fact, she was one of his main reasons why he accepted ABS-CBN’s offer to host Pilipinas Win Na Win. “Wala naman sigurong malulungkot sa ganong pangyayari (divorce with Liezl) at naipangako ko sa sarili ko na ‘di na ako muli magmamahal. Siguro bibigyan ko na lang ng panahon yung mga anak ko, yung foundation ko, yung Mindanao. Iuukol ko na lang ang buong buhay ko dun. Pero yun ang akala ko.”

Robin knew very well though that there would always be someone out there who would try to ruin whatever they have right now. But he assured Mariel that she really matters in his life. “Gusto kong kunin ang mga kamay mo at magpakalayo-layo na lang. Sa mundo ng pelikula, napakahirap. Araw-araw may balakid, araw-araw may mga ‘di mo maintindihan kung saan nanggagaling ang mga problema. Pero sana manatili kang diamond, lagi kang matibay. Hindi ako nagsisinungaling, totoo ako. Sagutin mo ako o hindi, itago mo ‘yang sing-sing. Ano man mangyari, itago mo ‘yan, sa’yo ‘yan. Hindi ako nagsinungaling sa’yo, Mariel, mahal kita,” he stated. diamond

Piolo Pascual is out to get to the fake Twitter poster of his son

Piolo Pascual had to deal again with questions from reporters regarding the recent controversy involving his 13-year-old son Iñigo who allegedly posted nasty comments on Twitter against Piolo’s rumored girlfriend KC Concepcion. Piolo had already released an official statement that his son, who’s already based in the US and is only in the Philippines for a vacation, doesn’t have a Twitter account. At his press conference as the endorser of Quickchow instant noodles, Piolo told reporters that he will defend his son against negative intrigues.

“It’s been a sensitive issue. It’s something na as much as possible I didn’t want to talk about kaya nga I just released a statement. But then I was told I’ll be doing this press con so wala naman tayong kawala sa mga tanong. Ang sa akin I have to protect my son against issues because first of all hindi naman siya from showbiz. I have to protect his privacy. He’s not based here but it just so happened na umuwi ‘yung bata. It was hard for him,” said the actor.

Piolo also pleaded to those behind the offensive Twitter posts to stop ruining other people’s lives. “Mahirap kasi ang daming pumatol, accusing people of anything. I released a statement to set the record straight that it wasn’t my son. Kung sino man ang naglabas ng mga ‘yun sana lang makonsensya kayo. Relationship ang sinisira niyo.”

He added that he will not let this issue pass and will seek action to find out who is really behind this. “I want to investigate to find out kung sino. I’m positive na malalaman namin. I have a feeling it’s someone from the States. Ang pag-hack sa internet worldwide naman ‘yan. Nafo-forward kasi sa akin ‘yung mga nasulat, inemail sa akin ng mga friends ko sa States, mga nieces ko na nag-Facebook and Twitter. Based sa mga nabasa ko I know na hindi gagawin ng isang bata ‘yun.”

Piolo revealed that Iñigo, who is currently here in the Philippines with him, was deeply affected by the issue which almost caused a rift in their relationship. “He felt bad na feeling niya I wasn’t even defending him. Gusto ko rin naman kasi munang malaman, like what I said in my statement, I have to get the right information kung sino ba talaga ang nagpo-post ng mga ‘yun. Hindi ko pa rin nakukuha but I have to give a statement kasi things are getting out of hand na.”

The actor-product endorser said he was convinced from the very beginning that it’s not in his son’s character to say bad words about anyone. Since his son is not in showbiz, Piolo is trying his best to spare him the intrigues. “Hindi niya gagawin ‘yun. Sa exclusive Christian school siya nagaaral. I’m praying and hoping na may support group siya. Mahirap lang pagusapan because I’m in showbiz where everything is magnified at siya ang naaapektuhan. May mga nanunukso sa kanya, unfair naman sa bata. Hindi naman siya artista. I told him na as much as possible hindi ko siya isasama sa mga interviews ko.”

There are those who suspect that Piolo’s son is just having a hard time dealing with gossip about him dating some other women. “Natural lang siguro na reaksyon ‘yun. Nung nasa edad niya ako ganun din ako. The most important things is that I spend more time with him to give him the attention that he needs and deserves.”

GMA 7 Network - "Home of the Losers"? How come?!

GMA 7 is now being branded by some people as the "Home of the Losers". Why?

That's after PEP posted on Twitter that Edu Manzano is set to host a game show in the Kapuso station.

Edu lost in the 2010 National Elections when he ran as running mate to
Presidential Candidate Gibo Teodoro.

And breaking his promise that he will retire in showbiz after the elections, here he is now going to host a new game show not on ABS-CBN
where he stayed for the longest time but on GMA 7. And true to what happened to him in the elections, Edu's new show reportedly will be
titled "Atras Talo".

Edu has actually been rumored to switch networks since Cesar Montano also transfered to GMA mid-July. And just like Edu, Cesar also lost in
the elections as Bohol Governor.

With that, some people are calling the Kapuso network as "Home of the
Losers" as it continues to welcome those who lost in the recent elections.

Aside from Edu and Cesar, other losers in the elections are also cast in some GMA shows, just like Ara Mina (Ilumina), Anjo
Yllana (Eat Bulaga) and Joey Marquez (Kaya ng Powers).

Despite the new tag, GMA however also takes pride of having in the network those who won in the elections: Sen. Bong Revilla (Kap's Amazing Stories),
Christopher De Leon (Ilumina), Yul Servo (Trudis Liit) and Manny Pacquiao (Show Me Da Manny).

Star Cinema has released the official movie poster of “Sa ‘Yo Lamang”, an upcoming family drama movie.

Starring Lorna Tolentino, Christopher De Leon, Bea Alonzo, Diether Ocampo, Coco Martin, Zanjoe Marudo, Shaina Magdayao, Enchong Dee, Empress, Miles Ocampo & Lauren Young.

The film is directed by the Veteran film director Laurice Guillen. Juris of ASAP Sessionista was chosen to sing the theme song of ‘Sa’Yo Lamang’ and the music video of the theme song is under the direction of Ms. Cathy Garcia-Molina. This latest movie offering of Star Cinema will be showing this September 1, 2010 in over 100 theaters nationwide. An online magazine featured 4 males from the ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs team in its 10 cutest newsmen in the Philippines list.

Topping the list of Spot.ph is TV Patrol reporter and Umagang Kay Ganda host Atom Araullo, who was dubbed as the "prettiest newsman on national TV" for his lean frame, mestizo features and boyish charm.

"Atom Araullo has a face that could convince young girls to be more responsible citizens -- as soon as they stop gushing over how cute he is," the website read.

Not only is he cute, he is also athletic and smart, Spot.ph noted. Araullo is an Applied Physics graduate of the University of the Philippines, where he is a well-known activist.

He's also a champion triathlete and trained in soccer, tennis, volleyball, taekwondo, platform diving, mountaineering and underwater diving.

"Indeed, it's a bonus that he's brainy. Because, really, all he has to do to melt our hearts is to go on air. This Atom is certainly the bomb!" Spot.ph said.

Landing on the third spot is Alex Santos, who is a regular on TV Patrol's weekend edition as well as morning show Umagang Kay Ganda. Despite his "salt-and-pepper" hair, Spot.ph said Santos retains his "boy-next-door" appeal.

"Watching him deliver the news on TV Patrol's weekend edition is a pleasant experience -- even if he's dishing out daunting facts...He makes the news more attractive," the website read.

Also on the list are ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) hosts TJ Manotoc and Paolo Abrera, who ranked 7th and 8th, respectively.

Spot.ph said it "can't point a finger" on their appeal, but found both men sexy nonetheless.

Diether Ocampo confirms rumors that he and girlfriend Rima Lorza Ostwani have already called it quits and that conflict of interest and busy schedules were the reasons behind the break-up.

"Mayroong mga pagkakataong kailangang balansehin mo ang bagay bagay. Kailangan mo lang maging fair sa mga taong involved sa buhay mo, whether its personal or professional career. At this point I have to sacrifice something. Hindi ko naman sinabi na pang-matagalan. Gusto kong bigyan ng prioridad ang mga gagawin ko na hakbang na ayaw kong makasakit ng tao," he said.

He added that it was a mutual decision, and that they remain friends.

"Maayos naman lahat so sana suportahan din natin siya eventually. She will be doing a lot of hosting jobs, so I'm looking forward to that," clarified Diether.

OLA CHIKKA! WALA pang isang linggo ngunit kumakalat na ang balitang exit daw agad itong main host ng show na si Robin Padilla! Bakit naman ganu’n kabilis? Hindi kaya naapektuhan na siya ng mga isyung naglabasan matapos ang pilot episode ng noontime show noong Sabado?

Hindi kaya nagpadala siya sa mga sabi-sabing wala siyang isang salita dahil minsan na niyang sinabi na hindi niya tatanggapin ang pagiging main host ng Wowowee?

Sinasabi pa ng ilan na maging ang buong noontime show duration ay hindi niya papatusin. At siguro ngayon, maraming mga fans ni Willie Revillame ang kinukuwestiyun ang pagtanggap niya sa offer sa Pilipinas, Win na Win.

O, baka marahil ay sobrang labs na niya ang kanyang co-host na si Mariel Rodriguez kaya lilisanin na lang niya muna sa show upang makaiwas sa intriga sa kanila ng dati niyang labs na si Kris Aquino na isa rin sa mga main hosts ng show? Taray!

Hindi man umuubra ‘yung dalawang dahilan na iyon, malamang itong pangatlo ang talagang magiging rason ng pagkawala ni Binoe sa noontime show. Dahil simula August 8 hanggang September 15, selebrasyon ng Ramadan ng ating mga kapatid na Muslim, kaya sa mga panahong iyon ay hindi natin masisilayan ang nag-iisang main host na lalaki ng Pilipinas, Win na Win.

Kaya abangan na lamang natin ang pagbabalik niya matapos ang kanilang paggunita sa Ramadan. Pak!

Pokwang #1 sa 20 Top Lists of Ugliest Celebrities in the Philippines!

Last week, Mo Twister claimed that he did not call Pokwang "ugly" on his showbiz talk show Juicy! and Paparazzi...



This is pertaining to the word war between the DJ-host and the kapamilya comedienne.

The word war began after Pokwang voiced out her unhappiness over the alleged disparaging comments made DJ Mo concerning her looks. The controversial TV host and radio DJ, on the other hand, refuted her comment and claimed that he did not call Pokwang "ugly."

After the incident, Pokwang allegedly wrote on her twitter account: “Wag nalang natin patulan mga mangmang na hosts sa hindi sikat na talkshow!”

Cristy Fermin, Mo's co-host in Paparazzi, took offense of Pokwang’s remark that started a series of attacks to the comedienne on her weeknights program Juicy!

Last night, Juicy! aired the list of 20 Ugliest Celebrities in the Philippines courtesy of its recurring host, Shalala. They claim that the list came from YouTube and that they have nothing to do with it.

Topping the said list of the country's "Ugliest Celebrities" is no other than...Pokwang.
