Pagbibidahan nila Angelica Panganiban, KC Concepcion and Gretchen Barretto ang ABS-CBN upcoming TV series na "Muling Buksan ang Puso". Ang leading men naman ay sina Luis Manzano, Sam Milby and Zanjoe Marudo.
The series will be directed by Ruel Naval, one of the directors of the defunct top-rating series "Magkaribal."

MANILA, Philippines - Actresses Angelica Panganiban, KC Concepcion and Gretchen Barretto attended an acting workshop together for ABS-CBN's upcoming series "Muling Buksan ang Puso."
In an interview with "Showbiz News Ngayon", the actresses shared their workshop experience under award-winning director Laurice Guillen.
"Exciting kasi marami kaming nalalaman sa isa't isa. Step-by-step nakikilala mo sila ng deeper," Panganiban said.
"Exhausting 'yong workshop. Medyo nahirapan. The good thing is nagkakakilanlan na kami. I think we are ready to work," Barretto said.
Concepcion shared: "This is it! Nararamdaman na namin na talagang may project kami together kasi matagal na kaming naghihintay."
The series will be directed by Ruel Naval, one of the directors of the defunct top-rating series "Magkaribal."
Asked if people will see them compete in the series on the fashion and acting front, Barretto replied:
"Kung patalbugan, malalaman niyo na lang yon. Si Angelica pagdating niya sa set hindi na siya si Angelica. Iba na ang character na ipo-portray niya. Iba na din ako. Iba na din si KC doon. Kung mag-away kami sa teleserye, 'yon kami pagdating sa set."
For Panganiban, she stressed that they will just do their job as actresses. She also added that it would be easy to do the series if they will work hand-in-hand.
"Masarap magtrabaho kung hindi kayo naghihilaan pababa, at doon magwo-work 'yon. Doon makikita ng tao kung paano magiging maganda ang teleserye na pinapanood nila," Panganiban said.
Also part of "Muling Buksan ang Puso" are actors Luis Manzano, Sam Milby and Zanjoe Marudo.

Gretchen Barretto to star in ABS-CBN upcoming serye 'Alta'!

Since Gretchen Barretto has been very vocal about doing intensive workouts for her upcoming teleserye Alta, people wondered if she plans to be more daring this time around. Her love scenes with Derek Ramsay in Magkaribal were quite controversial last year. But Gretchen told Push.com.ph that she prefers to be known as a serious actress, which is why she’s very careful when it comes to choosing her TV projects. “Kung magpapa-sexy ako sa Alta? I don’t know about that. Hindi ako ST queen, I am a dramatic actress,” said Gretchen whose performance in Maalaala Mo Kaya won her PMPC’s Best Single Performance by an Actress.
But she’s intent on doing intensive workouts for her to be physically fit once they start taping sometime in May or June. “I am taking it slow, I’m taking it easy. I’m just exercising a lot and bonding with my family. Ganon ako mag-prepare for a role and then later on kapag trabaho, trabaho talaga. We are supposed to be taping last week of May. Nagkakaroon lang ng delays dahil ang mga Star Magic artists may U.S. tour. But we’ve already done pictorials and look tests so all set na for taping kapag available na lahat ng cast.”
Gretchen stressed that she’s really looking forward to this project since she gets to work with an all-star cast including Angelica Panganiban, KC Concepcion, Sam Milby, and Zanjoe Marudo. “Dapat lang ganon kabigat because ABS-CBN always give me the best. In the same way that I expect the best because I only give my best in every project being given to me.”
When asked if she’s also excited to form new friendships, Gretchen agreed that it would be nice to establish good rapport with her co-stars both on and off screen. “Well, of course, ganon talaga yun, kapag nagkatrabaho kayo. Kahit sino ang kasama mo kailangan magkaroon ng friendship because it’s always important that you have a good relationship with your co-stars. I’m sure I would enjoy getting to know all of them and the bonding that we would have on the set,” she cheerfully added.

Erstwhile enemies Gretchen Barretto and Angelica Panganiban are finally working on their first soap opera together.
After being each other’s nemesis for a while, the rivals-turned-friends are now about to share a still-untitled soap under ABS-CBN.
“Approve na sa first and second stage. So ipe-present sa akin ang full script next week bago ako umalis patungong Amerika. Isa na naman itong napakagandang pamasko na maibibigay sa akin ng ABS-CBN,” Gretchen said on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” December 9.
Gretchen wishes only the best for Angelica this Christmas. She’s glad that the latter has finally found her real father recently.
“Si Angelica napakabait na tao. I only wish her the best. I wish her peace.”
Meanwhile, Gretchen recalled how fidgety her partner Tonyboy Cojuangco was when they attended the recent “Star Awards For TV.”
“Ang sabi niya sa akin noong nanalo ako ng Star Awards kasi tinanong ko siya...'What were you thinking? What were you feeling?' habang tinatawag ‘yung pangalan ko. Sabi niya, 'Lord, kawawa naman si Gretchen.' Nagdadasal daw siya na kung sakaling hindi ako manalo bigyan ako ng lakas to accept na hindi ako nanalo. Sabi ko hindi mangyayari ‘yon dahil nine churches ang inikot ko. Sabi ni Tony noong manalo ako, 'Good girl!'” Gretchen shared.
The controversial actress feted a birthday party for her partner of more than a decade, businessman Tonyboy Cojuangco. It’s her way of returning the favor for allowing her do a soap this year.
“Tony is 59 years old. Of course it’s a blessing that another year is added to his life. Ako ang nagsabi na kailangang mag-party siya. He deserves a party.”
The actress is happy about the presence of Tonyboy’s relative, President Noynoy Aquino, at the birthday party. “I’m very grateful,” she quipped.

Gretchen Barretto, pinataboy sa mga bodyguard ang mga batang nagtitinda ng sampaguita sa Baclaran!

HINDI RAW MAAARING mamalik-mata ang kasama naming manghuhula sa Tweetbiz who calls himself Mr. E (If pronounced snappily, may tunog nga namang “mystery”), pero tukoy na tukoy niya ang aktres na nakasalubong niya papasok ng Baclaran Church noong Biyernes ng umaga: si Gretchen Barreto.
Pahakbang daw si Mr. E sa pintuan ng naturang simbahan ay siya namang papalabas si Gretchen clad in white dress, may tangang puting payong at ineeskortan ng kanyang mga bodyguard. Kilalang puntahan ang Redemptorist Church ng mga artista, oftentimes during unholy hours to elude public attention if not mobbing crowd.
Siyempre, nakilala si Gretchen (in broad daylight ba naman) na dinaluhong ng mga bagets peddling their sampaguita leis. At that juncture ay halos within an arm’s length lang ang layo ni Mr. E sa aktres, kung kaya’t naringgan daw niya ito nu’ng magdayalog ng: “Guard, can you please clear my way? Ayoko nang hinaharangan ako!” Gretchen’s men obliged.
Nag-flashback tuloy sa aking kamalayan ang noo’y natsismis nang pagsusungit ni Greta when she hopped inside an elevator of an imposing building in Makati City years ago. May nakasabay raw kasing sosyalerang matron ang hitad whose sight she could not stand, kung kaya’t naglinya ito sa kanyang mga bodyguard na: “Can you please get this woman out of the elevator?”
But poor Greta, hindi raw kasi ‘yon pinalampas nu’ng babae who snapped back: “Can you please get this woman out of my building?!”
Ewan kung urban legend lang ‘yon, but even if it’s a myth… it’s so very Gretchen Barretto!

Angelica Panganiban and Gretchen Barretto Nagharap na Face-to Face!

Angelica Panganiban finally meets Gretchen Barretto, weeks after she apologized to her on The Buzz. But their meeting is rather coincidental for Angelica was only supposed to fetch his boyfriend Derek Ramsay on the set of the hit fashionserye, Magkaribal.
Angelia shares, “Na-surprise din ako talaga. Kasi tapos na yung shooting ko mga 1:30 ng madaling- araw. Then sakto nagkausap kami ni Derek. Then nagpunta ako ng Makati. Pagdating ko dun, tinatawagan ko na siya kasi nga nagpapadaan lang sya eh. Sabi nya, baba ka ganyan ganyan dito sa set. Sabi ko ayoko. Nahihiya ako. Tapos yun sabi nya, sige na, nandito si Gretch. Tas sabi ko, ay naku, ano ka ba! Nakakahiya! Kasi nakapambahay lang talaga ko.”
The young actress, however, decided to get out of her car. She then met Gretchen on the set who she now describes as, “Para siyang ano, parang bata. Sobrang young ng personality niya. Parang ang sarap nyang panoorin. Parang full of character yung personality nya. Sa nakikita ko, parang ang positive ng nilalabas niya. Yung ganun.”
And though she understands the possibility of awkward moments, Angelica agrees that this is the start of a new friendship. She confides, “Siyempre, hindi mawawala yung magkakahiyaan kayo dahil may hindi kayo magandang nasimulan. Pero ang importante dun, yung naagapan kung anuman yung pwedeng lumaki. Ang maganda naman dun, parehas kaming willing maayos kung anuman ang naging problema dati. So hindi ako mahihirapan na magkaroon ng magandang relationship sa kanya. Kasi siya mismo, nag-e-extend ng kamay nya para magkaayos kami.”
In response to Angelica’s kind words for her, Gretchen sends her reaction through a text message to SNN: “It is pure joy to make peace at all cost. Humility is what Angelica Panganiban has taught me. I see Angelica’s beauty inside and out. I thank my co-star Derek Ramsay for making it possible for Angelica and me to be friends. Angelica came to our Magkaribal set around 2:30am today and she brought a lot of joy to everyone. I am so looking forward to countless years of great friendship, fun and laughter.”

Angelica Panganiban humingi ng Tawad kay Gretchen Barretto!

In her interview with Boy Abunda on The Buzz last Sunday, Angelica Panganiban denied that she was the woman with exposed breasts on the cover-photo of a tabloid. “Sana intindihin na lang nila kasi alam naman ng lahat na hindi ako ‘yon and ‘yung babaeng ginamit nila do’n, sana bigyan na lang nila ng respeto ang katawan. Huwag na lang sanang parang nilalantad na lang nila ng basta-basta.”
The actress also gave her reason why she chose to keep silent about the previous controversial photo published on a tabloid, where she playfully placed her hand inside boyfriend Derek Ramsay’s shorts. “Masyado na po sigurong private ‘yon para sa akin,” she shared. “And kilala ko po kasi ang sarili ko, hindi ko kayang kontrolin ang emosyon ko ‘pag nagalit na po ako, parang si Rubi, sumasabog.” She went on to say that she has the tendency to say hurtful things when angry, so she just kept mum when the photo came out. “Sa mga oras na ‘yon, wala pa po ako sa tamang pag-iisip so mas minabuti kong tumahimik at pagpahingahin ang emosyon na nararamadaman ko noon hanggang sa maging handa na ako.”
Angelika also spoke about her boyfriend Derek Ramsay’s leading lady in Magkaribal, Gretchen Barretto. Kaibigan mo ‘yun, eh and parang wala kang matakbuhan. Pero tapos na po ‘yon.”
Angelica also shocked many of the audience and viewers of The Buzz’s Abunda Challenge when she confirmed that she had a scene before with an actor in a previous project and that she could not stand the actor’s really bad breath.

In her interview with Boy Abunda on The Buzz last Sunday, Angelica Panganiban denied that she was the woman with exposed breasts on the cover-photo of a tabloid. “Sana intindihin na lang nila kasi alam naman ng lahat na hindi ako ‘yon and ‘yung babaeng ginamit nila do’n, sana bigyan na lang nila ng respeto ang katawan. Huwag na lang sanang parang nilalantad na lang nila ng basta-basta.” The actress also gave her reason why she chose to keep silent about the previous controversial photo published on a tabloid, where she playfully placed her hand inside boyfriend Derek Ramsay’s shorts. “Masyado na po sigurong private ‘yon para sa akin,” she shared. “And kilala ko po kasi ang sarili ko, hindi ko kayang kontrolin ang emosyon ko ‘pag nagalit na po ako, parang si Rubi, sumasabog.” She went on to say that she has the tendency to say hurtful things when angry, so she just kept mum when the photo came out. “Sa mga oras na ‘yon, wala pa po ako sa tamang pag-iisip so mas minabuti kong tumahimik at pagpahingahin ang emosyon na nararamadaman ko noon hanggang sa maging handa na ako.”

Gretchen Barretto is the new SNN host replacing Kris Aquino!!!

Tomorrow, Monday, is Gretchen Barretto's Day!
Her first ever teleserye "Magkaribal" will have its pilot on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida. Then later that night, she will start hosting SNN as replacement for Kris Aquino who left the show last Friday.
With that, I think I'm more excited to see Gretchen on SNN tom than in Magkaribal because hosting a show like SNN is something she never did before.
Is Gretchen fit for SNN? We will see.
Magkaribal also stars Bea Alonzo, Derek Ramsay, Enchong Dee, Erich Gonzales and Angel Aquino.

OLA CHIKKA! UMIINIT na nga ang iringan sa pagitan nitong dalawang bida ng teleserye ng Dos na sina Gretchen Barretto at Angelica Panganiban dahil nga rito sa napakaguwapong si Derek Ramsay.
Hay, naku! Wala naman talaga sigurong hindi maakit dito kay Derek dahil katawan pa lang ay ulam na. Kaya hindi ko rin masisisi itong si Greta, ‘di ba?
Nagsimula ang isyu nang magbitaw ng salita si Greta sa isang interview na padalhan na lamang siya ni Derek ng solo pictures niya sa kanyang pagbabakasyon. At siyempre bilang girlfriend ni Derek, ano kaya ang naiisip n’yong mararam-daman nitong si Angelica? Siyempre nakaka-offend, ‘di ba?
Kaya nang mag-post itong sa Twitter si Angelica ng, “Single ka teh?!” hindi mai-wasan ng marami na para iyon kay Greta. Kaya nu’ng tanungin siya ay bahala na raw ang mga taong mag-isip kung sino man ‘yun.
Ibang-iba ang aura ni Angel sa interview na iyon, parang hindi na ako sanay na nakikita siyang ganu’n kaseryoso at mukhang talagang affected siya sa isyung ito.
Nang tanungin naman namin si Greta kung ano ang masasabi niya tungkol dito, dinaan na lamang niya sa biro at ibinato ang kanyang linyang “You want war, I’ll give you war. I’ll be there in my red stilettos.”
Taray! Ang guwapo talaga ni Papa Derek! Eh, ano naman kaya ang masasabi ng partner nitong si Greta na si Tony Boy Cojuangco na kung saan nakapag-promise na siyang magpapaka- good girl na siya? Ayun! No comment lang! Ha-ha!
Hmmm… ano na kaya ang mga susunod na kabanata rito sa iringan ng dalawang naggagandahang bida ng Dos?! So exciting!
