Azklas member Neil Etheridge is Vice Ganda's new 'Apple of the Eye'!

MANILA, Philippines - "Showtime" resident judge Vice Ganda expressed happiness over his blossoming friendship with Azkals goalkeeper Neil Etheridge.

"Ganda ko talaga! Si Phil (Younghusband) kay Angel Locsin tapos si Neil naman sa akin! Natapakan niyo na yata ‘yung hair ko diyan! Ha ha ha! Kapag pinag-uusapan si Neil Etheridge nagagandahan talaga ako sa sarili ko. Siguro nabibwisit na sa akin ‘yung mga tao sa sobrang pagka-feelingera ko," Vice Ganda said during the contract signing for his hit comedy talk show "Gandang Gabi Vice!" on Wednesday.

Vice Ganda shared that he came to know Etheridge via the microblogging site Twitter.

"Nagsimula sa Twitter ‘yan. One day bago siya pumunta ng practice nakanood siya ng 'Showtime'. E nasiyahan siya so nag-tweet siya. Ako naman nag-thank you. Nag-tweet uli siya. 'Di na ako nag-tweet back kasi baka kapag hindi na siya sumagot, masasaktan lang ako. Aasa lang ako," Vice Ganda said.

He said that it was destiny when he personally met the football player at Rufa Mae Quinto's party.

"That night, party ni Rufa Mae, dumating si Neil. Naloka siya kasi ang kasama ko si Jon Avila. Nagyaya si Jon na umalis na at lumipat ng place. Sabi ko sandali lang tatapusin ko lang ‘yung iniinom ko. Pero ang totoo, ayoko pang umalis kasi nandiyan si Neil. Pero hindi ko siya tiningnan kasi baka hindi rin niya ako pansinin kasi hindi naman niya ako kilala. Maya-maya siya na ‘yung lumapit. Sabi niya, ‘Hey! We were just tweeting this morning.’ Chumika siya sa akin. Ang bait niya," he added.

Vice Ganda said he saw Etheridge again during the taping of ABS-CBN's flag raising ceremony last Friday.

"Nakita ko agad si Neil. Katabi ko si Anne (Curtis), inaasar na niya ako. Sabi ko kay Anne, dedma na, ‘wag na niya akong lokohin kasi baka hindi na niya ako maalala, mapahiya lang ako. Hindi talaga ako tumitingin sa kanya. Sabi ni Anne nakatingin daw sa akin. Ayoko maniwala. Pero nakita ko sa peripheral (vision) ko na nakatingin nga siya sa akin. Eeeeeee!" Vice Ganda said.

The comedian said he found out how humble the football player was when Etheridge sent him a tweet after the ceremony.

The tweet was: "@vicegandako sorry I never got to say hi at abs, was trying to get hold of you at the end, but then I got dragged off, sorry."

With Etheridge's tweet, Vice Ganda got the courage to invite him to grace 'Showtime'. Etheridge then agreed and even dragged other members of Azkals to visit 'Showtime'.

"Sabi ko, 'I'm still here in ABS-CBN, if you want you can drop by at the 'Showtime' studio.’ Tapos hiningi na niya ‘yung BBM ko. Pupunta raw siya sa 'Showtime' kasama ‘yung ibang Azkals," the host said.

Etheridge made good on his promise and the Azkals guested on "Showtime."

"Ang bait niya. Dedma lang (siya) kung bading ka o ano man. Nakikipag-friends siya kahit kanino. Totoong lalaki nga. Kaya kinikilig ako hanggang ngayon," Vice Ganda added.

Asked if he considers Etheridge as one of his boys, Vice Ganda replied: "He’s one of the many boys na nakakapagpakilig sa akin."

Vice Ganda is being romantically linked to Paolo Hubalde, Jon Avila, Kean Cipriano, and Xian Lim.

Saxophonist Clarence Clemons passed away at age of 69 due of Stroke!

He was the saxophonist at Lady Gaga's recent Music Video 'The Edge of the Glory'-which is the last time we saw him.

The New York Times said Clemons' death was confirmed by a spokeswoman for Springsteen. Reuters could not immediately confirm the reports.

Clemons, dubbed the "Big Man," started working with Springsteen in 1971 and was a charter member of the backing group that came to be known as the E Street Band.

His gritty, evocative saxophone solos powered such notable Springsteen songs as "Born to Run," "Jungleland," "Prove It All Night," "Tenth Avenue Freeze Out," and "Badlands."

On stage, Clemons proved a worthy foil for Springsteen and his bandmates. In a 1975 concert review, Rolling Stone said Clemons betrayed an "ominous cool" in contrast to guitarist Steven Van Zandt's "strange hipster frenzy."

"Clarence was the big black saxophone player who completely represented the tradition of rock 'n' roll and R&B," Van Zandt told Britain's Mojo magazine in 2006.

Alongside Van Zandt, Clemons personified the E Street Band, and he took it hard when Springsteen broke up the group for a decade in 1989. But by then, Clemons was being used less in the studio. On stage, he was often reduced to playing tambourine or engaging in crowd-pleasing theatrics, like kissing Springsteen during the live staple "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)."

He also dabbled in acting, enjoyed a solo hit single with Jackson Browne, 1985's ""You're a Friend of Mine," toured with Ringo Starr and even played on two tracks on pop singer Lady Gaga's new album.

'PURE HELL'

Clemons' death came three years after organist Danny Federici, Springsteen's longest-serving musical partner, lost a three-year battle with cancer.

Clemons had been in ill health in recent years, suffering back and hip problems. He had double knee-replacement surgery in 2008, and walked for the first time in three months when Springsteen and the E Street Band played the Super Bowl early in 2009. The band's eight-month world tour that year was "pure hell," he told Rolling Stone earlier this year.

Clemons was born January 11, 1942 in Norfolk, Virginia, and played saxophone in high school where he was also a promising football player. A car crash ended his professional sporting dreams, and he went on to become a social worker, family man and barroom rocker.

His first meeting with Springsteen was auspicious. Clemons had heard about a hot young rocker on the Asbury Park, New Jersey, scene, and walked into one of his club shows on a bitterly windy night. A gust of wind ripped the door from his hand, and it flew down the street. All eyes turned to Clemons, and Springsteen readily agreed when he asked to sit in with him.

"When I first walked on that stage and hit the first note, I saw things that are happening today, then," he told Reuters in 2009. "I knew that he (Springsteen) was what I was looking for and I was what he was looking for to take that next step to the big time. It was just love, man, at first sight."

During sessions for Springsteen's 1975 breakthrough "Born to Run," Clemons spent 16 hours recording his solo on "Jungleland," the nine-minute track that closes the album.

"Creating is like religion," Clemons said later of the marathon session. "I was willing to relinquish myself to him (Springsteen). I've had people say to me, 'That sax solo saved my life.' So I did my job."

Clemons was used more sparingly in later years as Springsteen opted to emphasize the guitars (1978's "Darkness on the Edge of Town") or recorded largely solo (1982's "Nebraska" and 1987's "Tunnel of Love."

He still brought fervor to later-era songs like the hit single "Dancing in the Dark" and "Land of Hope and Dreams, but "over time his role in the band has become more symbolic than musical," author Jimmy Guterman wrote in his 2005 Springsteen biography "Runaway American Dream."

In 2009 he published his memoir, "Big Man: Real Life and Tall Tales," co-written with his friend Don Reo.

Eugene Domingo to start shooting 'Kimmy Dora Part 2' by this July-August!

Isang magandang upuan sa kanyang dining table ang regalong hiniling ni Eugene Domingo sa mga kaibigang producers ng Cinemalaya movie niya.

Five shooting days ang inilaan ng komedyante para sa Cinemalaya, pero wala siyang talent fee na hiningi.

“Mga kaibigan ko kasi ang producers. Minsan nga, kapag kinakapos, may ibang nag-i-invest din. Kaya hindi ako nagpapabayad. Hindi naman kasi problema sa akin dahil gusto ko naman ‘yung project.” katuwiran ni Uge.

Bukod sa indie film, natapos na rin ni Uge ang Star Cinema movie niya.

Sa July or August sisi-mulan na niya ang part 2 ng Kimmy Dora.

At sa October, gusto niya namang magrelaks sa London para dalawin doon ang kaibigang si Meryll Soriano.

Pero kung may pelikulang gustung-gustong gawin ni Uge, ito ay ang Shake Rattle & Roll.

Dr. Vicki Belo launched her first U.S. Clinic in California with David Foster!

GLENDALE, Calif. — She’s known as Asia’s Guru of Beauty and now Doctor Vicky Belo is taking on Hollywood.

Belo held a star studded grand opening Monday night for her new clinic in Glendale California.The Glendale clinic, the first Belo clinic in the U.S. will do non-invasive procedures such as ultrasound facelifts, botox, and laser procedures.

Patients interested in full surgical procedures will be screened at the California clinic, with actual surgeries taking place in the Philippines. The clinic will be open year round. Belo, who has a home in Glendale, plans to work personally at the clinic when she goes on her U.S. vacations.

“There’s so much demand people come to the Philippines, they always ask me when I’m coming to the states and 40% of our foreign patients are from the west coast,” explained Belo.

Concert kings Gary Valenciano and Martin Nievera, and even hitmaker David Foster, all say their wives as well as themselves often look to Doctor Belo for beauty tips.

“We love her work, we think she’s a genius,” said Foster.

“This was bound to happen. Not just with artists but everyone back home, she has created a name,” said Valenciano.

Belo was joined by boyfriend Doctor Hayden Kho however, the two would not say if a wedding was in the works.

“Wala pa, secret yan secret but we will let you know,” said Kho.

Yeng Constantino to sings Star Magic anniversary song “Ikaw Ang Magic ng Buhay Ko"!

This year, ABS-CBN’s Star Magic celebrates its anniversary with a grand music video that features Kapamilya talents in the song “Ikaw Ang Magic ng Buhay Ko,” which was sung and composed by Yeng Constantino. The talented singer, who won Pinoy Dream Academy in 2006, was personally asked by Star Magic head Johnny Manahan (who is also fondly referred to as Mr. M), to compose the jingle for Star Magic.

The 22-year-old singer admitted she immediately went to work on the song which she found as a challenge even before she was asked to revise her first proposed arrangement. “This is my first time to compose for a station ID. Sobrang natutuwa ako na binigyan ako ni Mr. M ng break na ganito. Tapos natakot ako kasi first ko tapos feeling ko rejected. Pero sabi niya lagyan ko lang daw ng word na ‘magic’ sa lyrics. Actually dalawang version yung ginawa namin, the first one iba yung chorus pero gusto ni Mr. M na mas mabilis so binilisan ko ng tempo,” she shared.

Yeng also explained how she wrote the song which is a kind of thanksgiving to all the fans of Star Magic through the years. “Kami, as an artista, ipinaliwanag sa akin na yung fuel namin para mag-go on kami sa career path namin or para mag-excel kami sa pagkanta at pag-acting namin is yung mga supporters namin so parang yun yung gusto ni Mr. M iparating sa mga tagahanga, sa lahat ng sumusuporta sa artists ng Star Magic. Sila yung dahilan kung bakit nagsa-strive kami ng mabuti. Ang unang ginawa ko, habang sinusulat ko ito is linagay ko yung sarili ko sa pattern na gusto ni Mr. M. Siyempre naisip ko yung Yengsters. Iba yung feeling ‘pag na-reminisce mo yung journey ko, paano ako nagsimula hanggang yung marami ka ng pinagdaanan na na-achieve tapos nakapag-stay ka sa industry. ‘Pag may nag-nu-number one ka na kanta sa radio or sa MYX, ganun,” she explained.

Yeng admitted that even though she has been in showbiz for over five years now since becoming the first Pinoy Grand Dreamer in PDA, it doesn’t mean songwriting and performing has become an easier process for her. “Pareho lang ang paraan sa paggawa ng mga kanta, ang pinaka-key pa rin ‘pag nagsusulat ka ng kanta, kailangan either ilalagay mo yung self mo sa situation or maghanap ka ng bagay na related dun para maka-relate ka. Yun yung pinakamaganda sa lahat, ‘pag totoo sa experience mo, nan nangyayari sa ‘yo present or nangyari sa ‘yo in the past. Maganda rin for a songwriter na madaming pinapakinggan na kanta. Kasi hindi mo napapansin na ‘pag gumagawa ka ng kanta, naghahalo-halo na pala yung influences mo tapos lumalabas na ang galing. Astig!” she admitted.

As the Star Magic anniversary music video “Ikaw Nag Star ng Buhay Ko” is set to be launched on June 26 on ASAP, Yeng admitted she feels very proud of her latest song and of being part of the Star Magic family ever since she started in the industry. “I feel honored. Kasi for me na mahanay sa pamilya kung saan galing si Piolo Pascual parang wow, tapos mina-manage pa ako nila Mr. M. Kasi pag makikita mo siya, alam mong ire-respeto mo siya. Tapos nakakasabay ko sa mga shoot si John Lloyd Cruz at si Shaina Magdayao, iba yung feeling eh,” she admitted.

A few days after her "Friday" music video was briefly rented on YouTube, Rebecca Black sent a letter to the video-sharing website asking them to delete the clip. A representative for the teen singer revealed that she was upset with Ark Music Factory for listing the video as a pay-to-play material.

"We can confirm that we submitted a Take Down Notice to YouTube as a result of the dispute we have with Ark Music regarding the 'Friday' video," the rep said in a statement to TMZ. Now "the video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Rebecca Black," so it was noted on the video-sharing website.

Earlier this week, Ark Music tried to boost the sales of "Friday" by renting the video for $2.99. However, the marketing strategy didn't seem to work out. The video was switched back to become a free content again in the same day because the responses have been very negative.

"Thanks for all the messages regarding the $2.99 fee added to Friday video, I have NOTHING to do with this!!" the youngster wrote on Twitter in response to the issue. "PS...My Manager and Lawyer are on this and are going to get to the bottom of this! Stay tuned..."

Although the "Friday" video has been removed, fans need no worry because they can catch a glimpse at Rebecca in Katy Perry's Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" music video. She's the neighbor who gives Katy's nerdy alter ego, Kathy Beth Terry, a "cool" makeover and invited the geeky girl to a party which is crowded by Kevin McHale, Darren Criss, Kenny G and Hanson.
