2011 FAIL: GMA-7 GAGASTUHAN NG HUSTO ANG CAPTAIN BARBEL! 3D SA PILOT EPISODE PINAGHAHANDAAAN NA!

Talagang determminado ang siete na mapalakas muli ang kanilang primetime line-up sa 2011 dahi malalaking telefantasya ang pinaghahandaan ng mga kapuso!Gagastusan nang malaki ng GMA-7 ang Captain Barbell at malakas ang balitang gagawing 3D ang pilot episode nito. Kapag natuloy, makapagmamalaki si Richard na ang show niya ang unang 3D show ng Channel 7 kahit pilot episode lang.
Hindi lang 'yon kundi pati sa cast ay ibinigay na ng GMA7 dito at ang hindi matatawarang ganda ng special effects. Bagong bago rin ang costume ni Richard sa Captain Barbell at mas maganda ito kumpara sa dating costume na ginamit niya.
Personal na humingi ng permiso si Richard sa pamilya ni Mars Ravelo para magkaroon ng bagong design at kulay ang costume ng original at sikat na Pinoy superhero.

Wenn Deramas denies that he and Ai-Ai Delas Alas have issues with Star Cinema!

After the star-studded premiere of Star Cinema’s Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na ‘To last December 20 at the SM Megamall, Director Wenn V. Deramas could not hide his happiness at the reception the movie got from the fans at the premiere. “Iba ang kaligayahan ang meron ako ngayon. Base sa mga reaction ng mga tao, masayang masaya kami ni Ai Ai,” he shares with Push.com.ph.
The writer-director admits that the Tanging Ina series has a special meaning for him among all of the movies he has made. “Lagi ko itong sinasabi na number one sa akin ang Tanging Ina. Personal favorite ko ito. Iba ito kasi sa part one, ang dami doong eksena na halaw sa tunay na buhay, sa personal life ko, sa nanay ko. Ang original na tanging ina ay si Nanay at alam din ni Ai Ai yun,” he explains.
Wenn says that the idea for the movie first came to him when ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio challenged him to come up with a different kind of story concept. “Kinausap ako ni Ma’am Charo to come up with a movie na iiyak ka at tatawa. kay Ma’am Charo galing yun, sabi niya, ‘Pag nagawa ko mo yun, magse-set ka ng bagong trend ng comedy.’ Sabi ko ‘Ma’am eh di buhay po namin (ang gagamitin). Tinanong niya ano ba yung buhay mo? So kinuwento ko na very painful. Pero ang treatment namin ng pamilya ay may patawa so eto na yun. Kaya siguro ganun ka-successful yung movie kasi tunay eh. Wala akong pretension, wala akong kahit na anong ginawang iba basta naging totoo ako,” he shares.
Aside from Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na ‘To, Star Cinema also has two other movies entered in the Metro Manila Film Festival this year, Dalaw and RPG Metanoia, this has reportedly sparked issues regarding the amount of exposure with regards to promotions that has been given to Ang Tanging Ina, but Direk Wenn is quick to put the issue to rest. The successful director says he does not harbor any ill-feelings towards Star Cinema and says he has always had good ties with its people.“Hindi naman tampo, kasi Sir Roxy, (Roxy Liquigan is Star Cinema’s AdProm Head) ay kaibigan kong matalik mula pa sa Teatro Tomasino sa UST ay magkasama na kami, ganun din si Mico Del Rosario (Star Cinema & TV Synergy Specialist) na nakasama ko pa sa isang stage play. Hindi tampo ang tawag doon. Siguro may hinanap lang. Mayroong hinanap, pinagpaliwanagan. Pero naayos na ng maayos na maayos at walang kaso. Never nagkatampuhan,” he stresses.

Angel Locsin clarifies that she is not switching Networks!

Angel Locsin denied the rumor that she is supposedly planning to transfer TV networks again. Just recently some tabloids have insinuated that Angel might be joining the bandwagon of stars who will be switching TV networks.
“Nabalitaan ko rin, pero imposibleng mangyari naman kasi may kontrata pa ako sa ABS-CBN,” clarified Angel. She added that her contract with the Kapamilya network will exist until next year.
“Hindi ko naman ho siguro hobby ‘yung lumipat ng istasyon,” joked Angel, who has previously transferred to ABS-CBN from GMA-7 in 2007. The Imortal actress also justified that she has no plans of switching TV networks because she is happy with her current home network. “Kung naa-appreciate ‘yung talent mo naa-appreciate ko rin na nare-recognize ka. Malaki kasi ang utang na loob ko sa ABS-CBN (and) so far okay naman ‘yung mga projects na ibinibigay nila sa akin.”
The actress also denied that she got an offer from TV5 and further explained that the substantial projects that she is currently doing only proves that she is being taken good care of by the Kapamilya network.
Meantime, Angel shared her excitement over the upcoming season two of the primetime teleserye Imortal and added that fans can expect the story to intensify in the coming weeks. “Abangan n’yo po kung ano ang magiging itsura ni Mateo (John Lloyd Cruz) ‘pag naging bampira na siya. Tingnan natin kung ano ang look niya, syempre tingnan natin kung hanggang saan ang pag-iibigan nina Lia (played my Angel) at Mateo and ang mga bago pang characters na papasok.”
She said that she is having a short break this Christmas and she is looking forward to spending her vacation with her family.
On the other hand, Volumes 1 and 2 of Imortal are recently released on video and are now available in leading video stores nationwide.

THERE’S NO PEACE on earth this Christmas between Lolit Solis and Nadia Montenegro. Lolit says she’s giving up Mark Herras and Nadia should manage him from now on. “Tell Nadia na kanyang-kanya na si Mark,” she said. “Kanyang-kanya na forever dahil bibitawan ko na siya.”
Nadia and Mark personally went to “Startalk” to talk with Lolit about her feelings that Mark became delinquent in his career after his association with Nadia. “Dati, walang reklamo yan kahit anong trabaho, pero nang mapunta kay Nadia, nagkaroon ng insomnia, nagwo-walkout na sa taping, at nale-late sa appointments kaya no wonder napag-iwanan na siya ni Aljur Abrenica,” Lolit declared.
Nadia said on cam she has no grudges against Manay Lolit as she respects the veteran reporter who’s been with her since she herself was a teenage star at Regal in the 80s. But in her Facebook account, she and Mark pledged that they won’t change in their love for each other. Nadia even put her photo with her kissing Mark on the cheek. Then she posted something obviously meant for Lolit. “Don’t forget that when you point a finger at me, 3 other fingers are pointing at you!!!! I know I did my best and what was right… can you say the same for yourself??? Hay Life!!!! This will never end until they shut their mouths. Fire continues to burn only when someone keeps lighting it up again and again. The 2 worst things in life are ENVY & JEALOUSY!!!! I think I’m going to have a very HOT CHRISTMAS!!!! RED HOT!!!!”

Venus Raj Gives Her Mom A House This Christmas!

It’s another major, major dream come true for Venus Raj.
The Miss Universe 4th runner-up-winner's dream of having a new home will be realized soon.
From living in a nipa hut in Camarines Sur, the 22-year-old beauty queen and her family will have their own 2-bedroom bungalow.
Work on the house has started.
Her mother, Esther Raj, expressed happiness over the 168 square-meter dream house that the beauty titlist is giving them.
Raj’s stepfather, Leopoldo, meanwhile said he is overwhelmed with the blessings they received due to Venus' success.
The family recalled the tough times they faced in their early years.
Esther said their Yuletide feast will be different from the simple celebrations they used to have.
The entire Raj family from San Vincente Bato, Camarines Sur, will fly to Manila to celebrate the Yuletide season together.
Venus said that she is thankful for the many blessings she has received .
The "Showtime" guest judge vowed to give her family a joyous Noche Buena for this year.

The star of the upcoming soap "Minsan Lang Kitang Iibigin" is the new endorser of Nescafe coffee, specifically for its 3-in-1 Brown 'N Creamy label.
Coco is actually 1 of the 3 newest endorsers of the said coffee brand. The other two are Sarah Geronimo for 3 in 1 Original Flavor and Arnel Pineda for 3 in 1 Strong 'N Rich.

The filmfest awards night will be held at the Meralco Theatre on Sunday. The original hosts are ABS-CBN stars Kris Aquino, Ai Ai de las Alas and Toni Gonzaga. But since the festival’s carrier TV station is GMA-7, they backed out and have been replaced by Ruffa, Richard and Raymond Gutierrez, who don’t mind even if they’re just a second choice.
“Kahit wala kaming entry, we’re glad to be of service to the local film industry and be a part of the annual filmfest,” says Ruffa, who also comes from the rival Kapatid network,TV5.
We’re told Ai Ai and Kris will still be part of the awards night as presenters since both of them have entries, “Tanging Ina Mo” and “Dalaw”, in the festival.

Matatandaang si Willie mismo ang pumili kay Shalani para maging co-host nito sa Willing Willie.

Hindi pa man natatapos ang dalawang kasong isinampa laban kay Willie Revillame , ito na naman at nangangamoy gusot na naman sa bagong programang "Willing Wiillie" ng TV5.
Ayon sa mga bulung-bulungan, nagbabalak daw magresign si Councilor Shalani Soledad sa nasabing programa pagkatapos tanggihan mismo ni Willie ng humingi sa increase ng talent fee ang butihing konsehala.
Ang monthly talent fee nito ay Php500,000.00 a month at gusto sanang humingi ng increase papuntang Php800,000.00 a month ngunit hindi nga ito sinang-ayunan ni Willie Revillame.
Ayon pa sa kampo ng konsehala, humihingi sya ng increase dahil ang palagay nya'y siya ang dahilan kung bakit pa pinapanood ng mga tao ang nasabing programa.
Taliwas sa mga press release at pinapakita sa show na they are playing sweet music, ngunit kabaligtaran pala ang tunay na nangyayari.
Matatandaang si Willie mismo ang pumili kay Shalani para maging co-host nito sa Willing Willie.
Matatapos na ang taon at talagang humahabol pa ang mga problema sa nasabing show.

Jasmine Curtis-Smith, the younger sister of Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis will be the new face of TV5 in 2011.
One of the most sought-after new faces in showbiz is now a Kapatid! Jasmine signed a three-year contract with TV5 last Monday, December 20. She is touted to be TV5’s face of 2011 as she teams up with Prince of Primetime JC de Vera for a major project.

After Kapatid and Kapamilya networks introduced their line-up of, according to them, the best shows that will hit the small tube in 2011, the Kapuso network shows they're much still up for the battle.
GMA released last night their “Titan Plug” announcing the Kapuso upcoming primetime series this 2011.
The five shows featured on the Titan Plug are:
1. "I Heart You Pare" starring Dingdong Dantes and Regine Velasquez
2. "Dwarfina" featuring the Heart Evangelista and Dennis Trillo tandem
3. "Amaya" - Marian Rivera's epicserye

National Artist Abueva to carve Aljur Abrenica's wooden statue for "Machete"!

Kapuso hunk actor and sought-after leading man Aljur Abrenica breathes new life to the character of Machete in GMA-7’s upcoming primetime series of the same title premiering this 2011.
With his chiseled body and fine acting ability, Aljur was the unanimous choice to reprise the titular character in the classic story about a wooden sculpture brought to life by the fortuitous works of a woman, or in this case, two women from the contemporary times.
Even Cesar Montano, the first actor to ever play the role of Machete, publicly expressed his approval of the network’s decision to entrust the role to Aljur with whom he had the chance to work with in the recently-concluded prime time show Ilumina.
In this version, Machete, an ancient Ifugao warrior, was transformed into a tree after being killed in battle. Decades after, this tree becomes the favorite subject of a beautiful sketcher, who later sells her drawing to an equally gorgeous sculptress. The sculptress falls in love with the image that she eagerly decides to turn it into a wooden statue.
Playing the coveted roles of the two ladies who will compete for the heart of the handsome Machete are equally gorgeous Kapuso actresses Ryza Cenon and Bela Padilla. Together, they will infuse an exciting and fresh twist to the Pablo S. Gomez classic for today’s generation of televiewers to enjoy.
The figure of Machete to be used in the program will be sculpted by no less than National Artist and “Father of Philippine Modern Sculpture" Napoleon Abueva and his team of experts, including his son Lawin.

Rayver Cruz takes full responsibility for the rift between Cristine Reyes and Sarah Geronimo!

Nagsalita kahapon si Rayver Cruz sa The Buzz hinggil sa isyung kinasasangkutan ng kanyang girlfriend na si Cristine Reyes at Sarah Geronimo na dati ring na-link sa kanya. Kinumpirma ng aktor na naging sila ni Cristine noong Abril pero nagdesisyong maghiwalay dahil masyadong naging mabilis ang pagpasok nila sa relasyon. “Napagdesisyunan namin na mas kilalanin ang bawat isa,” ani Rayver. Naging magkaibigan ang dalawa at lumabas-labas at muling nagkabalikan.
Hindi naman niya direktang sinagot si Boy Abunda sa tanong kung naging sila ba ni Sarah. “Totoong minahal ko po si Sarah and dahil nga kasi nirerespeto ko ang desisyon ng mga magulang niya at alam ko naman talaga na bawal pa (siyang magkarelasyon) so ako na rin po mismo ang lumayo."
“Pero napakasuwerte ng taong mamahalin niya at magmamahal sa kanya pagdating ng tamang panahon kasi po napakabuting tao talaga ni Sarah. Pero sa kabila ng lahat napakasuwerte ko pa rin po ngayon kasi alam ko may taong nagmamahal sa akin nang sobra at may taong mahal ko nang sobra-sobra,” aniya na ang tinutukoy ay si Cristine.
Nilinaw rin ni Rayver na hindi siya nagtatago nang pumutok ang balita hinggil sa hindi pagkakaunawaan sa pagitan nina Sarah at Cristine. “Simula’t sapul tahimik lang talaga ako and bihira talaga akong magsalita pero sa ngayon kasi ito ang tama. Ito ang dapat gawin so ito ang ginagawa ko. Sa kabila ng lahat ng pangyayari kung meron mang dapat sisihin ako ‘yon, kinukuha ko ‘yung responsibilidad para sa lahat ng pangyayari. Inaako ko lahat,” sabi ni Rayver.
Inamin din niyang siya ang nagbalita kay Cristine tungkol sa sinabi ni Sarah sa ASAP XV rehearsal na ang magagaling sumayaw ay habulin ng mga seksing babae. “I take full responsibility for everything kasi nga alam ko naman na tama ang ginawa ko. Naging honest lang ako sa girlfriend ko and lahat naman ng bagay bago ko ginagawa pinag-iisipan kong mabuti.”
Itinanggi rin niya na sinaktan niya si Sarah nang ma-link siya rito noon. “Pinalaki ako ng magulang ko lalong-lalo na ng tatay ko na huwag gumawa ng kamalian o kasalanan sa isang tao kaya wala akong anumang intensyong makasakit o makasama ng loob sa kapwa nating tao, lalong-lalo na kay Sarah.”

Sa pamamagitan ng kanyang Twitter account ay humingi na ng paumanhin ang sexy actress na si Cristine Reyes sa kanyang maaanghang na patama kay Sarah Geronimo matapos niyang mag-react sa pahayag ng Pop Star Princess sa rehearsal ng ASAP noong nakaraang linggo. Matatandaang nag-react si Cristine sa naunang pahayag ni Sarah na ang mga magagaling sumayaw ay habulin ng mga seksing babae. Boyfriend ngayon ni Cristine si Rayver Cruz na mahusay na dancer at dating na-link kay Sarah.
